Good morning, Rick and crew!

The day after the flood. The second round was worst than the main event.

 

No kidding! I saw some rain after work and made it home. Making dinner, it was like Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx on the Graham Norton show.

 

It was nasty driving through. I had to stick to the high roads, and even then it was bad.

In one area we have a 5 way intersection where the rain get dump in the middle of the 5 way. The rain will clearly go over the hood of the SUV.

Where you at? Our drainage sucks with a light rain. I'm sure some of the roads here were swampy last night too. We weren't too bad for commute home at least, the heaviest came later. I'm in providence.

 

There 5 streets that drains into a low lying intersection. The city thought about raising the intersection but found it to be impossible or not cost efficient. The others low lying intersection were guinea pigs to see what can be improve. So the only option was over sized drains pipe to clear the rain water quicker. While it helps but needs to be improve. On today journey the city is doing drain inspections. Which is useless because no one knows what to do.

The deepest rain water I been in is water half way up my windshield. The clutch was slipping like there no tomorrow.
