It hit me like a sledgehammer as soon as I opened the door.

 

Never heard of it either. I use mostly regular sunnen cutting/honing oil, or Castrol Molly-D, for SS, then a water base coolant forget the name, for drilling/milling either in a squirt bottle or mister with air.

 

Remind him to wrap a little bit of coat hanger through the pin hole and around the clevis to keep it from disappearing again.

Yep, just minding my own business, open the door and BAM!

Experience: That thing you get right after you need it...

Won't make that mistake again -- probably won't be buying another ancient air conditioner any time soon either.
(..then again, sometimes "cool" trumps smart for me..)

 

Awesome piece of history. Mechanical refrigeration changed the world. Air that thing out in the sunshine, the smell will go away. Eventually.

Not if your powder coat buddy is already running a batch...

 

Took it to paint after adding some half chain links for tie downs. No telling what will end up attached to it or in it but I made it to put chainsaw(s) and gas in so I don’t stink up the back of the truck whilst hunting clothes are back there.

 

Now that is some talent right there.

 

Be cooler with a deer in it.
