My girlfriend may go to Florida to the beach for someone’s birthday the same time as this ride. If that happens I’ll have to bring all three off my dogs with. Nobody to watch them.

    F Yeah.

Where are others coming from? I'm the idiot coming from RI but I'm in PA the weekend before, so I'm thinking about a short road trip in between. I was thinking upper peninsula/dakotas if I can make it.

My dog might be staying home with the wife this trip. TBD.

Cool beans. If I head south I'll let y'all know and maybe hook up on the way up. I would hit New Orleans but I would want to go with my wife I wouldn't want to go without her. Keys/FL seems a bit too far stretch plus plan to head there in Jan/Feb. That's why I'm thinking hit UP, I have 4-5 days, but I just want to make sure I have time to explore not just AIS and hammer down the whole time 9 hours a day - did that in March, not nearly as enjoyable.

OOOOOOOOOO I could bring my bike - hit Bentonville/the ozarks!

Just curious what you're mapping with - leads to the question if you're going to share it so I can follow along too. I'll probably run either gaia or google and mark off a bunch of points along the way. I haven't really experimented with recording/marking while driving in either of them.

I can bring two of those. I don't have any guns but I will bring my hiking and fishing stuff. I'll be around, I'm leaving PA Sunday mid day probably, heading down PROBABLY toward NC/SC coastal area, looking to find a beach that allows boondock camping for this winter so will find some spots and scout them out in between PA and KY probably. So I'm flexible on timing to get there.

As we approach closer to the trip, i wanted to update the group with the proposed routes. I was thinking of all meeting up Friday somewhere around noonish? Please let me know if some of yall cant be up there until that night. We would camp here first night. Looks to be a pretty campground right by a lake! Then Saturday head north up towards Hard 3 and then hit hard 2. I've seen them on YouTube and they don't look too bad at all. Almost all of us could do them and some we will have to tug lol. Don't let the names fool you, they don't look bad. Just fun! Please refer to map for reference. Then possibly hit Hard 1 if time permits. Camp Saturday night here. Looks like a nice field with a pond. Its a campground. Sunday we would head on east and hit hard 11 then head on down to Mine made campground here. We could camp here or travel another 60 miles to black mountain and camp. Would be about and hour and a half closer to Birmingham from black mountain. I am planning on heading home Early Monday Morning. Its about a 6 hour drive from Black mountain to Birmingham. Please plan your travels accordingly. Please let me know what yalls plans are and what parts of the trip you would be in for. I'm very excited after seeing a lot of the videos. Cant Wait! 1.5 months away!

Here's some clips to see what to expect. We will be taking similar paths!

Looks like a stock enough truck the same as mine towing that trailer. I'm down.

    • Comms - what are you planning to run?
    • Fuel - I would prefer to not have to bring my Jerry can if possible. Is this like 60 miles trails then a town then another 70 miles then a town etc or is it like 500 miles trails no towns?

I've never been down there and I look forward to bring the idiot that came all the way from Rhode island.

Ive got a CB and i think thats what most everyone has. Im bringing an extra fuel can with me just in case. Never know who might need it. From the looks of it like 30-50 miles of unpaved trail to the rodes. Have no idea on gas stations. So lets just plan on being topped off before we hit the dirt trails.
