Not really sure I've ever been fine

So, just to get this out of the way, have you done any sections of the Ozark Trail?

    https://www.ozarktrail.com/planner/index.php

There is a hike/ trip planner that works really well on the right of the page.

Even though it's a bit more populated, The White River forest area and Roosevelt NF and Pike/ San Isabel have amazing opportunities for moose and elk viewing during the rut. Plus the Colorado trail is very close and I'd normally add in the fact that RMNP is right there, but it's closed to everybody except reservations. (It's one of my favorite areas in CO)

Two really good resources that I use often in addition to Gaia

    https://www.alltrails.com/
    https://www.trailsoffroad.com/

I'll dig through my GPS logs to see if I can find anything that jumps out at me.

Great suggestion but unfortunately, I think I’ve covered every inch of Mark Twain, Ozark, and Ouachita forests. I love all three and continue to visit frequently, but looking to make it a bit further.

White River! I haven’t been to that area in years. Always hit Gunnison then head south/west vs north. And elk ruts...their calls at night are so amazing (and eerily hellspawnish). Bear Lake in Roosevelt could be great too. I was avoiding CO due to it being Labor Day weekend, but there’s plenty of pockets to avoid people. I’ll dig around that area.

Use Gaia and AllTrails but never TrailsOffRoad. I’ll check that out! Thanks!

We usually have a few visitors to the campsites around this time of year out there.

There are a few 14ers around the area too if you're into peak climbs.

Wheeler lake is a great 1/2 day hike with great views and you can camp at the top, but I'd expect the trail to have moderate traffic. It's a great place to watch crawlers do fun stuff too, it's a super challenging trail.

That would certainly be fun one of these days, though a bit of a pain in the ass getting it there.

I'll just put a supercharger on my truck, then we'll put the YJ on a trailer and tow it there. Roadtrip!:rofl:

Gotta wait for the lottery. I'd say follow me on OnlyFans but they are getting rid of that content soon so no luck there either.

Already have a tow bar and trailer brake for it. No trailer necessary!

    More

I'll donate a dollar to the cause. Only several more to go

Ah, reminiscing of days of internet past...
