Found a crack/split in the sidewall of one of my set of Cooper ST 255's...aged out, tread was still adequate low milage discontinued tire. gone. placed a set of five Cooper ST/Maxx 235's. look promising, almost as lightweight in the 235/85/16 size as was the D rate ST 255/85/16.

I’m also looking for a recommendation on my Toyos - I have them at 40 and it just seems a little low

An earlier post said he runs 46, so I'll try around that range.

    Just the basics
I just got my truck smogged and they aired me down from 45 to 35. I asked why and they said they went from the door sticker. I was a bit upset they wouldn't look at the actual tire for specs. They aired them back to where I had them.

For anyone with tire pressure questions- the chalk test is the answer. You need to test and check to see what psi fron/rear with how your vehicle is typically loaded results in a square and uniform contact patch.

I'll do so after my awning is on and I've filled my water tank on the rack. Appreciate the info, learned something new today!

45 is working pretty good for me. I did get stuck on a hill in some muddy grass though. Had to reverse till I was sideways on the hill and even then I couldn’t do it until I was in 4wd. But I guess they were cutting through to reach firmer ground. Still love them 500 miles and two short road trips later.

I tried 45psi but could visibly see the center have a roundness to it. I'm at 40 and want to try out 38 psi. These are k02
