Another happy customer. I ordered after I had been frustrated with my Amazon cup attachment and read the OP and ordered right away without reading some of the customizing people have done. Oh well, still turned out great. Might ordered another, but make 1” taller (I have several Costco, RTIC and Yeti and they are ALL 40oz, so the extra inch might work a bit better?). Maybe slightly more slender as well? Haven’t driven around yet, but do they stay in place fairly well or does it rock back and forth?

I keep a trash bag in that location (the only place I could find). I used a pull apart key ring to attach it so I can remove it easily for emptying.

Mine was customized for 64oz bottles and they don't move at all.

Taylor was great and this mod is a must.

Any one do this to their 5th gen 4runner? Thinking about picking one of those up before Toyota updates them wondering if I'll be able to transfer my new favorite cup cupholders

Yeah, the 3rd Gen has NINE cup holders in the front of the cab as well. I have 2 in each door, 2 on back of the center console, and 3 in front center console. The good ole days continue...

None of them fit a Nalgene, Yeti, or any other large water bottle. Go back to the 2nd Gen forum.

When my partner and I travel we each have a 20 oz Yeti Rambler Tumbler in the front center console cup holders with coffee, 20 oz Yeti Rambler Tumblers in the back center console with a straw lid filled with water, and our chalk bags mounted on either side of the console hold 32 oz Yeti Ramblers filled with water. Makes caffeinating, hydrating, and re-hydrating without stopping each day simple. The doors store bear spray, gloves and a small first aid kit. The third middle center console cup holder stores the wallet and keys.

Again...go back to the 2nd Gen Forum.

Just ordered one this weekend and it shipped today, pretty excited for it. Funny thing is I ended up getting the camo as well, was trying to get all black in leather or suede with red stitching to match the interior but she was out of black material and red thread. The camo was my fall back to color and did the thin loops and kept the draw string as well. Only went with one that will be on the passenger side since I have a holster on the driver's side where the bag would go.

What diameter did you ask her to make it for your 40oz hydro?

If you just tell Taylor that you have a 40oz Hydroflask, she knows what size to make it. The only difficulty is when unusual brands are requested. Then, it is just a matter of providing a pic of the diameter.

Received mine while out of town and ready to install later this afternoon. Found some titanium studs that I didn’t use in the engine bay for a different car so going to use them to help keep the weight down.

Simple but such a useful mod. I hated my big water bottles rolling around off the seat. Static Climbing and Taylor were awesome. I ordered thin straps (2), no cinch cord, no label, and replaced the fleece liner with the nylon. It shipped the next day with a heads up email. I used zip ties connected in a flat loop to secure it under the console lip. That’s a 36oz for reference B0E88088-3B7C-4612-B5BB-48BDD7A31354.jpg 0B87459B-81F8-46D5-B5BB-EE79924C95F3.jpg

Everyone on TW has had a fantastic experience using the chalk bags from Static Climbing Co. I recommend ordering directly from their website or Etsy to help support them. I’m from San Diego and love helping out local small businesses whenever possible. $35 and she even gave me 20% off for being a firefighter. I’ll be sending her as much business as I can. I just ordered the gunpowder chalk bag so I don’t have pics of it yet. If anyone’s interested, I can tell you what options I went with in another post. She’s awesome and I wanted to give her a shout out. Excellent customer service. You can reach out the owner, Taylor (taylor@staticclimbing.com) for customization options. Below are the Tacoma options she’s offering at no extra charge. I know another member posted these options, but just in case you missed them, they are as follows:

2 single thinner loops (100% mod people choose)

swap out the fleece for a nylon liner (the most popular mod other than the thin loops)

smaller brush loop (to fit a sharpie or pen)

standard size (fits a 32/40oz Hydroflask) or smaller size (fits a normal water bottle) or XL (fits a 64oz hydroflask)

Standard or mirrored (If ordering 2) (have the pen loop face the same side so they mirror when installed)

Patch on the front(normal) or the back or leave it off the bag

Remove the drawstring and grommet or keep as is

Thanks for supporting small businesses like ours, our team of 3 appreciates all of the custom truck mods. It's been so cool!

    Taylor Carpenter

Thank you to all the TW members who put this great mod together and got the ball rolling for this great company! Thanks again Taylor!

I hate to admit that this climbing bag and the goofy d-rings over the bed cubbies have been my two most used mods.

The same two mods that I looked at those threads and thought "that's fucking stupid, what a solution to a problem nobody had.". And yet, here I am, using them and enjoying it.

A buddy of mine came up with his own solution to hold two 32oz. hydro flasks in his 2019 Tacoma. He popped the cover off and took out the original cup holders. Dremeled out the width of the inside of the cupholder. Then got this plastic that you heat up and you’re able to mold in the shape that you want and wrapped around the old cupholder. He then got cardboard to kind of stiffen it up and he hid it with felt. That’s some next level tweeker type engineering! I attached some pics of his work and it came out great. I told him to get them 3D printed and sell them! I pussed out and just went with the chalk bag! Lol I’m not that creative or mechanically inclined.930631EE-332E-4EE2-907C-0BA94313706B.jpg C8194AE5-98C9-45EF-A2BB-4DDA8F557E67.jpg 2AAF0FC1-569C-41F2-A0F3-35CE119DD2A0.jpg EAD8621F-5EC7-4B6B-AE3B-3BCD687E6D68.jpg 6662A31F-1B67-45BB-8CB1-1EFA391F84A3.jpg BEE2C527-5262-4BE5-A0AF-7DE097DC1A7E.jpg 5051E3DB-9D8A-4E0A-9817-20875A4B8367.jpg
