2022 Tacoma Discussion

All Tacoma's are made in mexico last I heard. 2020 was last year of the Texas assembly line iirc

 

Not untill 2022 model year.

 

My 2021 was built in Texas in May 2021. My VIN starts wit a 5 which means made in Texas.

 

Usually it's a refundable deposit you make before pricing becomes available. they get the build sheets with all of the changes to the platform about a month before they go public. I ordered a 2022 trail a couple of weeks ago to try and beat the back log... The dealer didn't even ask for a deposit, they just wrote up the order and sent it off. Probably due to the fact that if I were to back out it will only be on the lot for a day or two.

 

I had an 85 w123 300D myself. What a fantastic car.

Putting an all mechanical Toyota diesel in a Tacoma is possible for minimal cost ~7k.

But then again, that smelly diesel, eww! Lmao

 

Anyone that has a dealer with 2022 info, can you order other trims in Lunar Rock?

Ok 3 things.

First, No Silver Sky Metallic huh? Sweet, my truck just became special. I wonder how the Celestial Sky Metallic will compare.

And two, that guy seems like he'd be cool to hang with, then get very annoying very quickly lol. I admire his enthusiasm though.

Thirdly, I am glad I am not in the market for lots of reasons, but I really don't like the color choices on the TT Tacoma. If I was looking to buy, the trail edition is where I'd probably start given the options it has and current pricing.

 

Grrr - why no Lunar Rock for the limited..

 

Was wondering about the change in silver too, if it will be for the good or bad. Guy is definitely enthusiastic about his job, lol. Between low inventory, high prices, and lack of color choices l am happy l am not in the market too!

 

Will the Nightshade offerings be the same for 2022?

 

So is the only difference to the PRO Suspension in years past to the 2022 model the UCA?

 

I also think it's another .5" higher all around from what I've heard.

 

I think Celestial is very similar to Sky. The current Camry uses that silver.

Getting ready to put in for a 2022 Limited 4wd SB in Celestial Silver with Black Leather allocation. Seems like less Limited allocations overall in the Northeast area.

 

Do you need to add the Nightshade package to get the black leather? Limited comes with hickory otherwise. Wondering if they changed this for 2022.

 

I think for the past few years you could get the black leather or the diarrhea color leather choice in the limited.

 

interesting, not the case for me - at least when building one in my region for 2021.

 

Probably has to do with your selection of exterior color
