I would hate to see you sell your taco for this but if you have tow maybe the taco has to go.. This is coming from an old guy with a 20 year old taco.

This was my rig when I was a hunting guide and I had to tow. I drove this truck for 13 years and sold it to buy my taco. The Dodge truck sucked but the drive train was indestructible and the simple old-school Cummins motor was amazing.

I tow 3500-4000lbs regularly, but only in the summer. The tacoma does just fine, but in 2-3 years it's gonna jump from 4000ish to probably close to 6000 or more, and that's when I'd need a bigger truck. Originally I was gonna get the taco for 3 years, and trade it on a HD. I started looking recently because if dealerships are gonna pay me more than than what I payed to get into a new bigger truck, it makes sense, plus I'll pay msrp because of my dealer discount deal.

But, after looking at the bigger trucks for a bit, I'm just not satisfied with what's out there. I drove them all, and then after driving them, I got back in my tacoma and it just felt better, better built and more ergonomic. Just felt like home, ya know?

I think I'm gonna go the route of buying a used HD truck when the market calms down for when I do need to haul heavy shit. There's a 1999 F350 Dually, 7.3 on sale on airport road, I'll probably end up with something like that. Hell, maybe even a v10 ford, I've worked on a shit ton of them, so I know know inside out.

Regardless, I just like my taco way too damn much to get rid of it. I can already tell I'd regret it.

Not the power that's the issue, it's what happens when a semi passes me lol. My rule with trucks is never exceed 75% of towing capacity.

Might be a good time to see new faces, as we don't usually do midweek stuff.

Hey guys don’t know if this is something anyone would be interested in. It was posted in my Tacoma Facebook Group.

A Tacoma owner posted “I recently lost a close friend to cancer at the age of 19 and we are planning a drive by parade for the family as a memorial. The father is a big 4x4 Toyota Fan so I was hoping I could get some sweet Tacoma’s to show up! Thanks hope to see some of you on Saturday!”

    Location: 7883 Young Street, Innisfil
    Date: Saturday, August 28 2021 @3:30pm

If your interested in attending to show support, let me know and we can arrange a meeting spot and convoy to follow in together. Great way to use our Tacoma’s to bring joy to someone in a hard time like this.
