I know it must be a bittersweet deadline.

Has the rest of the team found out yet?

Spoke to the owner as recent as today; he's still keeping it quiet and wants me to do the same.

Only the business manager knows, and mainly because she does payroll and will be doing 'exit' paperwork.

So was mine with 24k on the odometer when I bought it 5 years ago. If I'd kept it in a garage afterward and sold it now.....shit I'd probably be able to retire (for a year or two).

As it stands right now I'd probably get $5k for it though lol. But we've had some fun together and will continue to do so

What's funny is, there's one guy I work with that I've mentioned before in our conversations, who has tried throwing me under the bus many times.

The owner knows way more about what's going on than anyone would believe he does so I've never had any fear of anything.

Anyway, with having a new manager start just yesterday, my co worker has been nervous AF thinking he's going to get replaced and whatnot.

It doesn't help that his 2 favorite sales people, text/tell him that "I'm in the owner's office, shooting the shit" and it is even more nerve wrecking when "the door is closed" kind of thing

He's off Mon/Tue so it was fun chatting with him Sunday night before we closed up, because he was venting to me how it seemed unfair to get such a 'last minute notice' of a new manager being hired and all. And how he doesn't know his place as it hasn't been established, and if he's getting replaced or not

Love seeing the fear in his eyes because he's such a two faced, lying, ass kissing son of a b...

I'm on the same page as you about parts store racks. But if I can't get parts shipped to my location undamaged I really wonder if that $1000+ price at the local dealer is worth it. I've had countless parts arrive at my door destroyed through Fedex. I'm taking my 99's suspension apart twice a year anyway. If this was my 04 it would be an OEM reman no questions asked.

Earnhardt Toyota in AZ. It was the cheapest rack with shipping & tax nationwide from Camelbak, Conicelli, Daytona, McGeorge, etc. There are a few others I'm forgetting.

Might have to wait on a shipping sale like @CS_AR suggested.

I'll never have kids, so some poor social worker is going to have to hire a trash company to come throw all my stuff away so they can find my cold, mummified corpse

    And metal scrap is heavy:militarypress:
