Do you know how you're breaking these? I thought the m1700's were pretty solid considering the straight pull but looks like they/you need some sturdier hoops and/or spokes

I messaged the guy over at customwheelbuilder, he has great reviews on forums/reddit and is the cheapest by far.

He said he's backed up 4-6 weeks, even on instock items. However that also gives my order 4-6 weeks for parts to come in without pushing me back.
Seriously hoping we can get some silver hubs, black spokes, silver nipples. good neutral color to go with any future bikes as well.

I'm running cushcore, generally 28 psi in rear, because local trails have a lot of pedaling, and michelin enduro casing tires.

I think it's just bad spoke tension, which the wheels have never been trued. So that doesn't help I'm sure.

If you do contact Ryan I’d be interested to see how his pricing compares to others.

I’ll try contacting him, unfortunately he didn’t have WA1 wheels, but does have DT I think. Maybe he does have them and hasn’t updated site. Unsure.

I’ll reach out before pulling the trigger.

Right on. He may not have them on hand, but might be able to them. I’ve seen him post builds with Stans, Spank, DT Swiss, Nox, Zipp, WTB. Def seemed like a wide variety of options.

None of that is to say he’s the best option out there or that he’s got the best prices.

Unless anyone has an inside hookup. He IS the best price out there for Push shocks.

Find someone you like dealing with and stick to it. I also reached out to Berd in curiosity.

Wondering if they will build a custom wheelset using their spokes. I doubt it, but worth asking and getting a price.

I know y'all keep up with sales and stuff. Who has shoe deals right now?

Need a quality flat shoe, 11.5. My usual avenues are a no-go. Don't want to spend over $80

    Just an FYI

Berd Build, WR1 Unions, Berd Spokes, Vesper Hubs, 2 months out and $2200. It’s basically cheaper for me to buy built wheels elsewhere and then send to Berd to build at $450 plus shipping.

oh boy bikes are super fun

not where i was earlier this summer, got some skills i gotta rework. super slow on descents, dont really remember how to balance and trust the bike. i did almost slip out twice so thats exhilarating.

was super fun and couldnt stop smiling. took 15 min to bike to the lower trailhead from my new house. gotta find some different routes on dirt now.

my bb doesn't feel butter smooth, but im just gonna ride through it, whatever. i probably messed it up riding through streams and rivers earlier this year, lol. oops but worth it

Congrats, more feet than I climb in a month. :(

I need to get in with the local racing league and see if I can cut simple plaques / trophies like that with the plasma table.

Alright guys, what's the best place to look at wheelsets.

I'm going to repair my current wheels, but also get some new ones.
Builder said Vesper would be my quickest bet for centerlock rotors. I wanna build some customer colors.

I'm still leaning towards the silver black combo, but want to see what we've got.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up... the course this year was nearly endless rollers. Just up, down, up, down all.freaking.day. I was doing a lot of supertuck on the descents, followed by getting my ass outta the saddle to pedal squares up the next climb... rinse and repeat for 9 hours. I ran a 42:18 ratio and probably should run a 17 rear or 44 front to stick with the 1st and 2nd place guys. I'm pretty sure they were running a higher ratio than me.

I know, right?! I grossly underestimated the elevation gain out there!
