haha I believe it. I make my friends spend all their money too. You have done well with your current truck! If I did not have the cross between the prelander and precrawler I would have done the rear way different for sure.

Scared/ excited to start on the 4Runner for the wife next year lol. My heart says start with suspension, hers is in her right foot and says supercharge first. And I find little flaws in her logic

You can’t argue with any boosted logic. I’d prob say the same but both good choices

Anybody know if RCV's are capable of a higher angle than stock?

100% promise it is capable of a much higher angle than stock. I think it’s mentioned on their site. When I swapped mine in I was able to gain at least an extra inch of droop. The axles are no longer the limiting factor. Uniballs are

So would likely pair just fine with the JD long travel? I just cant sell myself on the 934's. Both shafts I've broken have been outers and the 934's don't fix that

Yes it would pair well. Just as always cycle everything to set correct bump and limit straps. You should just be able to order the ones meant for the +2” total chaos kit

Yeah, that's what I was looking at. I'll have to give them a call for more info on angles. I'm not seeing anything on the page about it.

Yeah call and find out. I thought I saw it somewhere but could be totally wrong. But I do promise they are capable of much greater angle than stock

Interesting, that’s more than the 934. If you do get them I would be interested in you confirming that number.

At this point that's likely what I will be going with. I just have a hard time with the fact the 934 kit doesn't strengthen the outer.

I totally understand what you mean. I went with it due to the increased articulation but if it can pull 30° as they claim then that seems to be the winner.

Seems right. If someone yells at me on Friday I will throw my truck on our new lift at work and see where it drops out to.

The outer joint on RCVs doesn't really have any additional working angle due to the shaft being larger than stock. I attempted to get every inch of travel out of a +2 TC race kit and even before upper uniball would go into bind the birfield cup on the RCVs was hitting the shaft while turned due to the additional diameter. I ran it like that for a while until I had to disassemble one of the RCVs because it was partially seized and found the interference. The outer joints on RCVs are effectively identical to stock as far as the cup/bearings/cage/star, only differences are material, shaft diameter, and ability to disassemble them without cutting the shaft.

Marks on the shaft are from the cup/shaft interference.

Strange and may be me running a 3.5 kit vs the 2” but with RCV’s I’m maxing out the uniball before the cv’s. I gained at least an inch of droop when switching.
