What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Wired in my lp6's, and finished getting it togethor for a dunes trip this weekend.

 

That doesn't look like a 1GR there.

 

I was just on IG and was like that looks super familiar. Lol

 

Got my Cab mount chop plates last night and my Marlin Crawler Lower control arm braces should be here today. Waiting on my lower control arms then going to have a fun install day soon. 33s coming soon.

 

Haven't done anything with it other than picked it up, but got this for my truck.




I'll prep and paint the bedsides and replace them next year. I'll paint my cap at that point too.

 

@Chrysalisbass03, looking at the vent line at the connection to the transfer case actuator, it doesn't look quite round. Is the hose in good shape? Common failure point, mine was cracked and ready to give out at 10yrs of age. Could just be due to camera angle but worth checking if you haven't already.

 

Curious as to what after market axles you went with? Needing to do the same for mine.

 

I went with New NAPA 2nd design's both sides . I am waiting on the inner boots to come in so that I rebuild the stock to put in in a later date.

I used to have those but the opt7 version, I liked them. Make sure to put a little silicone where the lense meets the housing to prevent any moisture intrusion. You can also easily change out those little DRL LEDs for fun.

Replaced my front left turn signal connector. Looks like it burned out so my new bulbs weren't working. Quick and easy fix! Not sure why the original connector burned out though...

 

This guy showed up today. Gonna give a whirl later.

 

Scored an extra wheel. Just needs some TLC
