Just ordered a set for my Access Cab. Not so much for rain (here in drought ridden California) but for some wind deflection driving with the windows cracked. Air conditioning is nice, but I miss vent windows. Buddy with an '06 Taco that he loves has been suggesting slight mods to my truck. The Weathertech mats are fantastic!

I installed my own AVS in the channel window deflectors and love them. Keeps rain out when opening the windows to about 2 inches. Water does not drip unto your arm rest etc etc. You got to get em.

As I stated in my post, it resolved within a few days. They’re great, have been from the start really.

Want to add that I also installed a AVS bug deflector 2 at the same time as my window deflectors good combination to have. Gives the taco a nice look and very durable been through the touchless car wash 6 times and they are still intact.

I hate to bring back a 3 year old thread, but I am wondering how the AVS in channel window deflectors hold up to automated car washes? Seems like the flaps (roller brushes) would just rip them off..

Weather Tech is not showing them for the 3GT right now..

I'd never put any of my vehicles through a car wash that uses brushes. No need to worry about anything including window ventshades if you only use brush free or better yet use the high pressure wand type you use by hand.

Thanks for the quick reply, but being permanently disabled with chronic lower back pain, my days of hand washing vehicles are over.. lol

Haven't found a brush free car wash that also cleans the interior and windows in my area..

Just a comment that I installed some of the AVS vents. Love the crazy things.

I have the in channel ones. I have only taken my truck through those kinds of car washes a few times when I didn't have time and wanted it cleaned up and I didn't have time for a old fashioned hose and bucket hand wash and dry.
Those automatic washes are in my opinion hard on your paint finish and in general don't clean as well. There are compromises for the ease and convenience of going to them. I don't recommend to anyone to use them regularly though in my area they are wildly popular. 2 new ones are being built near me that will offer unlimited washes for a monthly fee.

To answer the question no the car wash has not damaged mine or the AVS rock guard on the hood in the handful of times it's seen an automatic wash.

I have had AVS in channel for 9 years. Hold up well and the many benefits have already been listed.

    Love my AVS in-channel deflectors!

Had them installed by the same shop that did the front tinting.

I don't plan on putting my truck through car-wash...can't help you with your question.

Thank you all for the help...

Yeah if I could get them to only clean the interior I would be much happier, but it got pretty dirty with that 3-4" of rain and T-storms we just had, so she needs a bath, plus I am in the process of moving (w/help, long story) my garage shop from one place to another, so interior needs cleaning pretty bad again... lol
