KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

I bought into OVTune a couple of years ago and have kept up to date. I’ve been flashing my own vehicle but I think you would be better served to have Doekter Tuning do yours if you can swing it. I’d like to help out but my flashing confidence only extends as far as my own truck.

Is there a price for the VFC files if we already have the previous VFT files? Just noticed today you can’t flash VFT anymore. Haven’t kept up with the new updates for a while.

Woke up excited, I'm getting tuned today. Can't wait to see what the regular tune with 5.29s is going to feel like.

 

Any worries with this and the dealer? I know vw/Audi/Harley and others scan for tune/flashing other than oem. We have the shittiest toyo dealers and shops out here and don’t trust them. Like will techstream flag this.

 

No, it will not... at least not directly. Techstream cannot identify the tune. It can see other things that are consistent with re-flashing/tuning, but those same things pop up when the battery is disconnected. They will not be able to tell the difference. If they really dig into it and end up asking, you’d just need to say that the battery was recently disconnected.

Is there any long term negative affects to getting a tune?

 

I’ve been tuned for about 3 years. None yet.

 

First tuned with OV back in 2018! Been to a dealership for multiple other reasons but never because of negative effects from a tune and they’ve never said a word about it.

The drive back to my office was a new truck. My cheeks hurt from all the smiling. Truck felt smoother, quicker, more nimble, almost like lighter on her feet. The gears held longer and felt more powerful through out. The gear changes were smoother, overall completely new driving experience. I'm excited to see what it settles into after some mileage. Thanks again.

In 2019, I was on my way back over Black Mountain on I-40, coming back from the beach in the Outer Banks. The shifting was a disaster. I vowed to fix it and bought OVTune as soon as I got home. OVTune went a long way to correct the issues I had with Toyota's stock tuning. I upgraded to @PapaReee's Krusier soon after, and it was LIGHT YEARS better than anything that came before. I have been on KDMAX since it's release. FINALLY my truck was drivable. I actually enjoy driving my truck, going on trips, and having someone sit in the passenger seat without the embarrassment of driving a POS! Since 2019, I have serviced my truck on time. I've tuned KDMax and, due to changes in the infrastructure of the OVTune, I'm no longer allowed to do so .... I am still SOLD on this tune. I have driven most of the exiting tunes, and NONE compare.
