Nope, we're talking the same thing. One customer's powder truck was down for almost a month waiting for one. It's the only machine in that region of the company with a Cummins engine rather than a Cat or Volvo, otherwise they could have robbed it off of something else

 

And or course, it's "illegal" to remove those exhaust systems, whether it's DEF or a Regen filter blast (those are "environmentally friendly") lol.

I love it when I'm driving along with a load and the dreaded warning lights come on and then bam, power restricted to 25mph. Cause you know, safety.

 

That’s why everyone around here clings to the older diesels lol

all the farmers bought tractors before the emissions changes so they don’t have to deal with def and used tractors bring crazy money as a result.

 

Holy crap, ten hour day so far. Only about nine more to go before I get home...

also for anyone wondering about the noise my truck was making yesterday turns out it was my dust shield it was so bent it was hitting in 3 spots on things and when the wheel got bolted on it would rub really badly. since then ive bent it back so it no longer is messed up and it doesnt seem to have a problem besides the really bad alignment

 

Glad it was a simple fix. Sometimes it's the dumbest things which cause the most grief

 

ya just glad it isnt something crazy im so tired of fixing it at this point i just want to have it capable to do trips and drive around....

It's been pestering him forever and none of our experienced keyboard mechanicing could fix it. I'm glad @Calamity_taco figured it out because he wrenches on that thing constantly.

 

This is what I think shops should do, because the lead times thing and no communication seems to be the kiss of death for forum vendors.

 

Ordered a complete brake kit from Powerstop on Amazon and it FINALLY arrives today and is missing front pads and the spring kits for the rear. I'm pissed. The box looks like it got yeeted off the truck a dozen times too.
