So I got my truck a few weeks ago and due to getting a good price for my f150 and selling a project car, have been able to cop several big mods right off the bat. I got an ome lift kit from yotamafia. I got the dakkar heavy leafs (EL112R) and the heavier front springs (2886). On their configurator it says the front springs are for 200lbs and the dakkar heavy leafs are for 300 lbs constant load. I ordered it like this bc I plan to get and ARB Summit front bumper and winch, and a topper on the bed. I generally carry around 100-200 lbs of tools/crap around and i figure with the eventual topper and tools, this would be the right set up for me. I got the kit on and it looks great(the back rides a little high, if I'm being honest) and rides well on the roads. I took it on some trails and got the shit beat out of me yesterday. It's pretty damn stiff. When I look on 4wheelparts website, it says the el112r leaf springs are intended for 660lb, which i will likely only have in the bed when i'm fully loaded on a camping trip, if even then. Can anyone confirm the actual intended constant load for these? I don't see the info on the ARB/OME website. Did i screw up?

The topper itself will weigh at least 200lbs. Add the 1-200lbs of tools makes it 400. You’ll be fine

get some weight in there. put some sandbags in the back until you get the topper setup. if it still rides too stiff with all the weight then you can think about going with a lighter leaf setup.

HD's are for 660 Lbs. of constant load. 330 are the mediums.

Says 660 right there on their site.

Good news is if you decide you don't like the firmer ride, simply remove the 3rd leaf from the top and convert the HD's to mediums. Get some weight back there and see how you like it before you do anything though.

With my truck empty and just my cap, my HD's gave me almost 3.5" of lift. Levels out ok when towing or loaded though.

I see that now. For some reason when you buy the whole lift kit and configure it says 300+ lbs on the heavy springs...maybe that means 300 additional lbs from the medium... I didn't read it that way when I was in the heat of the moment. Welp! I'm off to get some sandbags, and get a quote for a topper!

Put some sand bags in the bed and it will help the springs break in. I have the same leaf pack with the added leaf to bump the weight up more. Before I was able to get my rear bumper on I had about 300 pounds of sand in the bed. It helped a lot.
