Wanted: TRD 16" beadlock wheel, Gunmetal Grey, Very used is fine.

I am searching for a 5th wheel for my 2014 Baja. Preferably used with some scratches to match my current set. Let me know if anyone has a lead! (I snagged the picture from TacomaWorld, my wheels are much more beat up)

I don’t think that will sell for that much. Prices have gone up and now people are trying to get every penny. They are pricing sky high and likely won’t sell or will have to come down in price…at least eventually.

I’m actually looking for a spare grey one as well. I have a bronze one as my spare but would prefer a matching one.

Oh wow, I hadn’t seen there was a bid. Looks like I’m wrong and I guess you can get $400 for one! I guess that’s not that far fetched - new, after tax they’re already $300ea. Of course over the years you could get them cheaper. I got my set on sale thru the local dealer. Should have bought 2 sets.

 

For sure! I think production may begin again eventually we will see. Sets pop up on FB market and CL every once in a while but people are definitely getting the word that they can sell on the high. I should have bought multiple sets I’ve seen over the last year haha

I feel fortunate to find a single wheel!

 

After that discussion I called the local dealer and according to them black and bronze are both discontinued and/or backordered with no idea if or when they'll be available again. They looked up the grey ones and found two left in stock at a dealer out east somewhere. So I ordered them and am waiting for them to ship. Even though I put in this order I'm not convinced they actually exist, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if the inventory was just incorrect or something. I'll just have to wait and see - fingers crossed!

Any updates on your order?

 

I would expect this to move pretty slowly. I called around a week after I placed the order and there was no update. I guess the order goes through Toyota who has to contact the dealer who has them then that dealer has to ship them. The guy made it sound like it was going to take as long as it was going to take and there wasn't much that could be done.

Honestly, I figure it's still 50/50 as to whether I'll actually get them or if they even exist or not.

What did they tell you? That they were unavailable? Or that they were available but just wouldn’t let you order?

 

They said they are unavailable and officially on back order with no known timeframe for getting them in

 

Yeah, sounds like the same spiel the rest of us have gotten when we've called. Although, hopefully what they told you means that the two I ordered are not marked as "unavailable" or "sold" or whatever. Or maybe they still don't even exist, lol.

There’s also a set of 4 new black ones for $2700 and a new set of bronze for $3200.

I wonder if that guy asking $400 for the grey ones without center caps will actually sell them this time. The first auction only had one bidder and he failed to pay so the auction is back up with no bids yet and auction half over.

I have a hunch that guy bought 2 new wheels just to take the center caps for himself.
