After three days I am loosing my mind. Dealership doesnt know what it is, keep in mind this Taco has 7k miles on it and it's a 2021.

My 2021 Taco does not make those sounds and I have 5000 km on it. Almost sounds like something is vibrating when starting but when it does it every time you hit the gas pedal that is something else, Hope they figure it out cause that would be annoying.

In the first video, it’s doing it when you press the accelerator and not just at start up.

There’s got to be a short or some type of cross over between the two systems. But then again, I have no idea :D

Seems like one of those dealership too-tedious-for-us-to-help-you-out kind of things.

Maybe some electrical guru will pipe up with some avenues to start with. Good luck.

Sounds like an aftermarket alarm. Like the older viper ones. My truck has never made a noise similar. Lots of others, but not that.

did it just start doing this. How long it been going on. And have you wired anything in?

Do the 3rd Gen Tacos have an alert for RPM/speed that you can adjust?
I worked at Lexus and when either the RPM or speed reached a set (by the owner) value, it would flash the instrument display and possibly also beep.

In mine you can set a speed limit but that's it. But I have a 2017 and not a 2021.

I think you're on to something!

I’ve installed many viper alarms in my time. I’m almost positive this is the “disturbance alarm” that is going off when the engine shutters….either by starting or revving enough to cause the truck to move. Look for fuse taps on the fuse boxes and t-splices under the dash…most likely just upstream of the OBDII connector.

if you turn the ignition on but don’t start the truck, slam a door or tailgate pretty hard. Or the hood. Try to jar the truck and see if it chirps.

So far I checked my connections and it’s still doing it. As far as adding any aftermarket items recently two months ago on last week on June I installed new headlights on my truck. But the chirp noise started four days ago on Tuesday the 24th.
