YMMV as always but it’s not uncommon to get better mileage and density is a factor. Throttle response suffers so many opt for forced induction to make up for the lost psi at intake.

Try driving to SLC from Reno or up to Twin Falls. Lose all those steep climbs and just rack up the miles while watching the needle just sit there. Without those climbs your average would be even more surprising.

I've been wanting to get a 3rd gen bed, how much did that bed cost you and how/where did you find it?

Also why a 2nd bed? Trailer?

Do you have a link where you purchased the tail gate assist? They have been sold out on Amazon for a while and the ones there didn't have very good reviews.

Nice, I just grabbed one on Amazon to avoid the $12 shipping charge.

Had to do the same thing with my HC bumper, ended up adding swedges and brackets to the stabilize.

Love it. Plus the StrongArm website said free shipping on all orders of $29 or higher ... so they discounted that item a few dollars so it no longer applies for the shipping discount.

Mine is rusted badly in the front corners up behind the cab, the bedsides actually flap around in the breeze. I'm not a huge fan of metal fab, so i took it to a shop to get a quote. $1200 just for metal work and welding, no paint or body work. So I drove to virginia and got this rust free one for $1100. I'll paint it with my cap next year and swap em out.

    I hate rust...
