Yowza! If that hurts anywhere near as bad as the sciatica issue I had in my left leg a few years ago, you have my deepest sympathy. I ended up having spinal surgery to alleviate the issue, it was caused by stenosis and a herniated disc, I had two vertebra fused with a plate (L5-S1) where that nerve comes out of the spinal column. That was the worst pain I have ever had.
