Looking forward in reading these in the very near future. Prolly bust out the hammock for extra relaxation. :D

If you are interested in Buffalo the Joseph H. Williams Tallgrass Prairie Preserve near Pawhuska in the Osage Nation is worth a visit. As close as you will get to seeing a native tallgrass ecosystem as it looked 250 years ago.

@melikeymy beer WOW, how beautiful! Thank you for the suggestion. Another bucket list location to experience that’s for sure.

A little here, a little there.
I like SF, Fantasy, History, Science, and Math books (yes, math).

Recently finished The Rise of Endymion by Dan Simmons, wrapping up the Hyperion Cantos series. Fantastic books!

Currently reading The Human Division by John Scalzi (book 5/6 of Old Man's War series). Really like the series so far.

Next will be The End of All Things to finish the Old Man's War series.

Also reading a Probability textbook and an Optimal Estimation textbook. Yeah, I'm weird.

If you like Scalzi, and politics aside, I have most of his books, he has some one-off books that are hilarious. The Android's Dream and Redshirts are funny.

End of All Things is okay, kinda anticlimactic compared to The Human Division, although the format of THD since he wrote it like multiple short stories, is a bit grating. Best of the series though is The Ghost Brigades.

Once I finish Old Man's War series, I have some other stuff to read. I have too many books to go through right now, haha. But I do intend on returning to Scalzi and reading more later. I will keep those two books in mind!

    Ghost Brigades
was super awesome! I liked that one a lot. Yeah, the short story format is okay so far and I appreciate the change, but I prefer the usual format that he used in the first three books.

Just finished; that was a lot of fun. You're right about it working very well in audio.

Picked up a few good books from the local thrift shop, not bad for 20$.

This one is a bit old but for 2$ I’ll take it. I’m sure it’s still useful, and it still has the sealed DVD!

I picked this one up for 3$ at the thrift shop on my previous visit. All sorts of good books there.

I need to look into those as well, my Mom likes to go look for all sorts of things at them.

    That would be cool.

Started reading Gulag Archipelago. It's a rough read though. Slow at start, picks up at the interrogation chapter but slows back down again. I'm about half way through it and about to throw in the towel.
