I'm looking to upgrade my stock SR wheels and tires (245/75/16 on steelies, 16x7 +30 offset). Ideally I'd like to go max tire size on stock suspension with no rubbing or trimming.

Right now, I'm looking at Vision Manx2 Overland, which are 16x8, 0 offset. I've read on TW multiple times that the max tire sizes for stock suspension would be 265/75/16, but that is on OEM wheels, correct? Just trying to see how the 0 offset changes things. From my understanding, there should be no wheel clearance issues with the 4.5" backspacing, but tire rub is a bit more unclear. Just wondering if I'm going to have any issues rubbing the plastics/cab mount at 265/75/16, or should I downsize to 265/70/16 to be safe.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but the tires I'm considering would be either the Wildpeaks or Toyo AT3, both SL rated.

A little here, a little there.
I am running Fallen Wildpeaks in 265/75R16 on ProComp 7032 series wheels, which are 16x8 with 0 offset. I have Billy 5100s all around set to stock height (no lift).

I have practically no rubbing issues except for specific situations when I am going down a fairly steep ramp or angle and turning left at just the right wheel angle. Only then is there a slight rub as the suspension is briefly compressed. All other times I have never had any rubbing and it hasn't happened in a while.

Are you doing this for looks or improved off-road capability? For the latter, go with 255/85-16 on the stock wheels or something with similar offset. Larger 33" diameter helps more than wider tread for clearing obstacles.

2011 TRD OR: 16x8 0 offset 265/75/16 Cooper AT3's with billy's front set at 3 notch up, stock OR springs (settled down to maybe 1-1.25" lift) and still ran mud flaps with no rub.

Great tire for all seasons, but didn't last as long as I had hoped. I'm now running an LT tire and winter tire seperately.

How many miles did the AT3 last? Do you ultimately think it's worth it getting a set of winter and summer tire setup separately on a truck? I'm thinking I can just save the hassle and have one set of rims, especially since this is a truck with 4x4. I figure the all seasons will be decent in different conditions. I live in a city that gets decent snowstorms but the city is good at plowing right away so I think i can get away with one setup.

That seem to be the general consensus with this size and similar offsets. Thanks for the info!

50/50. Definitely think the bigger tire looks better than the skinny little Firestones on their now. I don't really need the extra clearance, as I don't plan on doing any major off-roading or rock crawling. It's mostly forest roads and fishing access, with lots of mud and snow.

Just an FYI, when I tried to order the Toyo AT3 in 265/75/16, they were backordered with unknown ETA. I ended up getting Falkens SL rated, as they seem to be pretty similar with the Toyos in terms of price, performance and reviews.

Yeah I am doing research right now. It seem alike slot of people like the AT3s for their quieter ride, which is also what i am after as well, along with all terrain capabilities of course. I don't do much offroading, just dirt roads and gravel roads here and there. I think the SL rated ones might work good for me.

I'd go Toyo AT3, BFG KO2 or Falken then.

I got about 30,000kms (20,000miles??) and they are 6/32nd left. Not happy. Selling them hoping to get 100$ lol.

Just a quick update to this thread. Wheels and tires are on the truck. No issues with rubbing in the limited driving I've done so far, but I will update later if I notice anything. No problems clearing the calipers or UCAs. There is about 1/2-3/4" of poke outside the fenders, which would probably be less pronounced with fender flares.

Looks great. So what wheels and size tires did you settle on?

Wheel is a 16x8 with 0 offset. Tires are Falken Wildpeak 265/75/16 in SL load. Clears the calipers and UCAs no problem. Pretty tight on the plastics, maybe 1/2" clearance at full turn either way with no compression. It will probably rub with full turn and compression, but haven't experienced it yet in the couple hundred of miles I've driven on them so far.

Finally got my Enkei RPT-1's mounted. Stock height with a Toyo Open Country AT3 Tire(265/75/16). Love how it turned out, I first I wanted either dark bronze or black rims but I love how the gunmetal finish pairs with the army green. Super happy with the result!

That's a great looking setup! What brand are your mudflaps? I'm considering adding a set, I'm noticing some mud and rocks getting throws on the panels.

Thanks man! These are called rokblokz. They make two sizes original and XL, I have the original sized ones since the tires I'm using aren't anything crazy.

Had SCS F5s on a 2016 TRD Sport, 4x4 DCSB - 16x8 0 offset (4.5" BS), running 265/75/16 General AT-Xs. No rubbing on anything EXCEPT the front air dam at certain steering angles. I did have mudflaps, not the factory mudguards - not sure if it would clear the guards.
