So I ordered a Bypass oil filter system For my new to me 2013 Toyota Tacoma I probably won’t run any crazy intervals but I like the idea of extra filtration. I was looking at fitment for oil filters and noticed that the Toyota filter the Amsoil filter and a fleet guard filter all have the same cross reference. That being said has anybody ever run a fleet guard filter on a Toyota I run them on my Cummins truck and I know that Cummins is primarily in the diesel industry with heavy filtration applications so what are y’all’s thoughts on using them on a Toyota

The TW oil filter zealots swear by the Toyota OE filter. All Tacoma engines are EXTREMELY reliable regardless of which brand filter or oil is used. If there is a fleet guard application for your Tacoma, it's your dough, use it. Fleet guard is well made filter. I've used them on GM and Ford applications and never had an engine failure -
In fact, I've probably used every "name brand" filter on the market, over the years. Maybe the next guy to own my used vehicle had an engine failure due to my oil and filter choices - LOL

I don't see an issue running any filter that fits, as long as you change that at or before the required interval. I buy whichever name-brand is on sale at the 'parts store when I'm doing an oil change. One time it's Fram, and another K&N, next might be Quaker State.

Fleetguard is owned by Cummins....unless they have sold it off recently. As long as it has same micron of filtering either will be fine.

Any clue what the yzzd3 filters at? I think the fleet guard is 30 microns

I like the look of the Toyota filter so I run that.

    It doesn’t matter.
