Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Happy Friday!

Using my last "summer day" today the company gives us. I get out at 1 and still get paid for the whole day. Gotta mow the lawn... it's a hot mess.

Made it home from Hammonasset yesterday . Easy trip 2.5 hours so this will probably be our new beach destination. We like the campground and we had 2 good beach days

 

I'm in Bristol so there is some place in every direction From me lol. The truck is at 137k so everything is plenty aged lol. The doors and sound material won't be to bad to do, ill just need to take the time in a friend's driveway since I can't work on it at my condo.
The headunit is definitely one thing that the wife and I want replaced. Tired of the aux input constantly dropping out, I've already replaced the plug and still no fix. I've looked at the other brands of sound material, glad they don't cost as much as dynamat is. That shit was even more expensive when I was a teen building car/truck setups. The material will make a huge difference in road/tire noise and my exhaust system.

Hammonasset is a very nice park.
If you’re a beach camping fan, check out Horseneck Beach State Reservation. It’s in Westport, Massachusetts. It’s well west of Cape Cod and pretty easy to get to.

Check out Burlingame in RI if you want to be near very nice beaches.

 

I grew up in a beach town in Florida but never camped at the beach. That could be pretty cool.

 

I don't have any suggestions for the Bristol area. I've used Attention to Detail in Middletown and Great Scott in Norwich.

I will say that buying from Crutchfield and doing it yourself would be a good option. Their support is excellent. If you get stuck during the install you just call them and walk you through it over the phone. Literally, wire by wire, connection by connection. They also have a service for $25 where they make the wiring harness for you to connect to the stock speakers/connections.

I don't mind traveling for quality work. I got my exhaust built out in Manchester, so not an issue. Thanks for the headups about crutch field. I will definitely need a hand to get things tuned. I cant spend hours a day for a few weeks tuning it in the condo parking lot.

pulled the trigger and going the kicker route myself this weekend! i have some sound deadening here but after talking with Jared yesterday i think i;m going to order more and do it all in one shotlater next month.

 

Been going there for about 10 years. Time to switch it up . Burlingame no electric, water or sewer . Getting tired of that shit . Our friends have a house on the beach in Charlestown with water and electric hookups for 2 campers that we use sometimes,that’s awesome but we don’t like to bother them too much . They have a large family that’s usually there most of the time also .

 

Only getting the truck back tomorrow morning.
