Unfortunately they’re not rock sliders. More like reinforced steps. Lol.
They are made by Tyger. You can find them on Amazon, or get them on the used market for sub $150
I plan on getting some real sliders in the near future

 

New here, been a long time lurker. Completely sold on the TRD pro wheels but I can’t decide on the size of the tires. With TRD pro suspension (fox) can you fit larger than 265 without rubbing? And what kind of suspension tweaks are we talking if I go larger?

 

A 265/65R17 will be the same size as the factory tire (30.5”) that came on the truck.

You can fit a 265/70R17 (roughly 31.5” depending on the brand of tire) if you don’t mind mild rubbing on factory mudflaps while turning with mild suspension compression. You may not experiencing any rubbing with general highway use without mudflaps, but with any real off-road use, you will likely rub.

Any bigger than that, and you will experience rubbing on a Pro. Going with anything bigger will also adversely affect your fuel mileage and power as well.

Here’s mine with 265/65R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers:

 

If you’re considering going larger than 265, then definitely go 285/70/17 (or pizza cutter size). You’ll regret it later if you don’t. Better to get the size you want and have to do some minor trimming to fit. Also, make sure you get a good alignment with some decent caster.

I am picking up a set of these this weekend from someone local. They wanted $900 for x4 TRD 17x8 Pro wheels + black lugs but talked em down to $800. They are 2 months old and they showed me their invoice from purchase to prove they weren't replicas.

I'm super excited. Gonna sit on them until I see what holiday deals are out there for tires this winter.

Hoping I can sell my black SR5 wheels with 245/75/16 tires to offset the price spent for the full upgrade. They have less than 700 miles on them.
