I'd take the house boat, rented a 75' house boat with my family and spent a week on lake Cumberland in KY, it was a blast. Drag a skiff with you and you have it made.

They are a beast to steer lol. Driving from the helm up top was really fun though.

Skipped work today and took the boat out with the wife and baby. Always fun to be the first ones on the water in the morning.

Haha yeah I know pontoons are plenty fast. That's faster than I get in my jon boat by a good bit too.

Well TriToons can be fast anyway. We usually cruise at about 16-18 mph. That’s the most efficient, burns just over 3 gph.

2020 Bass Tracker Classic XL with a 60 HP conversion. Way too many mods to list, but it puts in an honest 41.7 - 42 MPH on the top end. Holeshot is at 3 seconds fully loaded with just myself. It's a serious fishing machine.

I fish in both on a regular basis. You get used to it, and they all get blown around in both conditions, fiberglass included.

Sweet set up. I'm building my boat towards a mini bass tracker type boat. Couldn't front all the cost of a bass tracker or other similar bass boats (we all have our income limitations) so I got a stripped down side console jon boat, but she's coming along. She fishes well too.

I have plans to extend the deck in the future and cover with seadek. The aluminum gets hot.

Oh very nice! Building a deck extension is sort of a pain in the butt if you plan to build it yourself, but the end result makes the journey 1000% worth the trouble.

Braver man than me then. I've been on some and once the wind picks up and the waves hit about two feet it's just no fun being on a flat boat with no gunnels. Not to mention the uncomfortable slamming through the waves at any speed.
