I am looking for a little help/advice on an alignment issue. I installed a lift (ToyTec 2.5 and JBA UCA) on my 2020 Tacoma Off-Road. Today I took it to a shop, that claimed to be proficient in custom vehicles, and asked them to do an alignment. The owner called me and was telling me that the truck was totally messed up and that he didn't even know if the lift was correct for the truck and that it had over -4 camber and he did not think anything could be done and he did not know what was wrong with the truck. He suggested that maybe it needed LCA or a new knuckle of something, but that it was not fixable. I asked him to run the alignment anyways. I came to pick it up and he said he got it "barely in spec" but still claimed it was totally messed up. I trust the people that helped me install it. I have attached the alignment printout he gave me, with everything now green. What is everyone's opinion? Do these numbers warrant the sky is falling outlook he had or do they look ok? Thanks for any advice!

Getting as close to 0, 3, 0 is best, but if you have larger tires you will need more than 3 on camber to move the wheel forward to keep from rubbing. Otherwise, a cab mount chop is in your future.

When u say 0,3,0 r u saying the best specs to run a 3rd gen with a lift and larger tires would be zero camber and toe, 3 caster? I was always wondering? I need to get ucas and my align redone.

    Thanks.

This goes for all tacos, 1st gen to 3rd gen.
They really haven't changed their suspension system or brake system in 25 plus years.
Only thing they changed was frame size, body styles, electrical doo dads.... :hattip:

    Your front camber is 0.1/0.2...
    Your rear is -0.4/-0.2...

Where are you getting -4 camber?

That's what he claimed it was before he did the alignment. He said he couldn't align it, but I told him to try and this was the result.

    End result is fine...
He might have been expecting to see positive camber, as one might expect from lifting with stock UCAs. The JBAs probably change that. Other than that...:notsure:

Thanks so much for everyone's thoughts. I did not think anything was wrong with the lift, but this mechanic was really trying to convince e me. I feel better now and think he just did not know what he was looking at. Thanks!

If you can go to a 4WD shop that does alignments, they will understand your need better. My .2 cents

How does camber move the wheel forward?

    You're using the traditional callout...
He's calling out numbers in the order of OPs alignment sheet.
