Hey guys A & P mechanic here and was wondering how many others are out there in the maintenace side of the aviation industry. Knowing how rough and changing the industry can be (laid off once already and 22) thought maybe we could start a little community here! let me know what you guys think.

Not A&P, But Airframes/Hydraulics Mech in the Marine Corps on Ch-53E for four years. Your still young and could join the military if u wanted. Then hit one of the commissioning routes to be come an officer. But if you have a degree already you could commission as an officer. Your not going to get rich in the military, but the pay and benefits are good in our economy. Best of luck.

30 plus years as an A&P.

Been good / been bad. Currently good. Most times no regrets, have gotten to work on some great projects over the years.

There's money to be made, BS to deal with, hopefully they never go to what EASA does.

The Gulfstream boys, one says Long Beach, assuming the other guy is Savannah.
