This. This is the attitude that I have. I don't have this kind of capitol to put forward, but everything I've put into has been "it will either pay off big in "x" months/years or I just threw away money. Most I can technically lose right now is 30% of my total since that's all that's invested, but who knows! To the moon!

But at least Ford sells around 800,000 F series trucks a year already vs 0 Rivans. And that new affordable small Maverick truck I made fun of but many here went gaga over is coming out as well. So yah I see Fords valuation as making sense. I’m just counting on the new F150 Lightning to fire up the “wheeee electric” crowd to add to sales.

My languishing $350 $ROKU 10/17 call is hoping roku can spring out of this rut...I thought it was happening Thursday but nope...right back to turdsville...

I was expecting a general pullback but nope...
Soooo...
when does it happen? and what kind of gains do we miss out on by standing on the sidelines with the T in our hands going "Coach....I'm ready to kick the field goal..." and even though we have -12 yds passing and no first downs rushing...the defense keeps committing penalties and giving us first downs...

i did it with shares....and i think i got stopped out....
it basically tanked from then till ending bell

 

It’s best to get a small loss out of the way the same day you have a major win. Win 10,000 on the craps table, it’s ok to lose a small stack on the roulette wheel on the way out the door

 

agreed...there was a lot of hype in the SPAC-EV space.... crazy valuations for essentially prototype products if any products at all...
most have come crashing back to 'reasonable' levels...although i think people are still excited by the prospect of brands other than the big 3....and more TSLA competition

 

Just a follow up for you all...
My friend He put 20K into $AMC at $35 that was supposed to pay for his car..watched it go to $43+, got greedy and then it crashed and he got out at $29 losing like $10K...
So when I said "Throw some $$ at $SPRT see if you can get some of that $AMC money back..."
So he told me about the 10 calls..
what he didn't tell me until last night..

Spoiler: Sometimes you feel like a nut...some times you yolo...

This guy not only bought 10 of the $10's
he bought 10 of the $12 calls at $165...
So that was 2100 and 1650...
AND bought 350 shares at $10...

He got out of the calls on the crest over $40 at around 11am because that's the price target I told him I was holding for....
he kept 250 of the shares that he THEN got rid of at $50...

His walk away was
$2100+1650+3500=$7250 invested...
$10 calls sold for $3,100 ea x10 $31,000
$12 calls sold for $2,700 ea x10 $27,000
Shares sold for 100@$40 $4000
Sold 250@$50 $12,500
Total haul $74,500 on his $7250...basically a 10x return in 2 days...
Needless to say he was quite ecstatic that the guy he chats stocks with at the dog park got him life changing $$$
He said he's going to buy a full Bitcoin on the next dip because he's always wanted one...
rest is for taxes etc...

I told him I love that almost as much as I love cooking good food for people...I get the same enjoyment.

 

This is the second time I've got life changing money in the hands of some yolo crazy twentysomething....
Co-worker followed my lead on $5 AMC calls in Feb and flipped 10 of them for like $12K in 2 days...said it paid his student loans for a year and changed his life...
That's what I'm really looking to get out of life...

Those moments when you drive to get gas for the lawnmower...and on the way home you pass a car that ran out of gas and you save their day with $2 worth of gas...

 

Oh and he STILL has no Idea how the fuck options work!
