Yep. I’m all for pro 2a organizations, and groups that fight the fights in the courts. But the NRA has done what they done to themselves. The NRA never offered me anything that the .mil or .gov never offered me for mo better.

I kick myself for not picking up a mcx when I had the chance.

 

GT Distributors had about a half dozen used SBRs on the rack when I was there last weekend. Ranging from 1400-1500 bux

 

none of them are on their website but the two i just looked are listed on gun broker

 

I don't think they normally post used guns on their website.

 

I was very early adopter of the MCX. It’s been through a few different stocks and optics. I think I have it dialed in to where I want it now. The legacy version is nice because it’s a lot lighter than the virtus.

For awhile there you could pick them up for $1k to $1200 but you know “covid” tax now.

Noob question. Whats annealing?

 

Actually that is the lesser noob question.
Annealing is heat treating the casing to compensate for work hardening of it during the handloading process. Most reloaders know that primers are sensitive to heat.

I need to get into reloading as well. I inherited all my Grandpa's reloading gear but it's just sitting in the garage

 

I'd be all over that if I had the chance.

 

I just don't know where to start to be honest. Had to hurriedly unbolt everything from his workbenches and load it up haphazardly because his wife was being a bitch. So I don't even know what goes with what.

There's two or three different presses, miscellaneous tools, dies, thousands of primers, cases, bullets, and jugs of powder stored in a cooler. Someday I'll get to it.

Get a loading manual - Hornady, Lee, Speer, Lyman, etc. Aside from load data, all the manuals have how-to information.

It shouldn't take you long to get it all sorted out. It might look intimidating, but it's really not.
