I knew it wouldn't be long before we'd hear all about dogs and guns. it's safe to say you and your dog can't be on point all night.

Maybe if some of your garages weren't full of junk you'd be able to park in there

I ain't reading through all this...notify your PD of what happened so they are aware of whats going on in your neighborhood. PD patrols the bad hoods more often than good hoods - nothing 'bad' happens in good hoods right? Put cameras up on your house, invest in an alarm system and change the locks on all the doors to your home if your keys were taken.

Back in the day I used to keep my car pretty trashed up with fast food bags etc.

One time in San Francisco I parked in one of those alleys. Came out and witnessed EVERY car with busted windows but mine.

The dude who was doing the deed was close by so I asked him why he skipped the white RX-7.
He said: " Look at that mess in that car - I'm not going into that piece of shit " LOL ... beat all I ever seen.

But, to the point at hand, I think it would be very unhealthy to go into someone's car. Happens around me pretty often I keep
my cars locked and parked outside luckily under a street light.

I like to pretend my dog is a good guard dog and intimidation factor but realty is he thinks everyone is his friend. Lol. Including a German shepherd walking by that's as growling and barking at him.

Put a magnet on the back of a Harbor Freight driveway sensor and stick it at least 4’ above the ground on the side of your truck. Cats wont set it off so easily but people walking up to your truck will. You can also put the sensor inside your truck, but I wanted a warning before someone actually opens the door since the sensor won’t see through glass. I keep the alarm receiver part in my bedroom, its good for over 200-feet away.

Just looked it up and they’re on clearance sale right now for $15

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
My old dog Blue was like that. Had him for 16yrs, was a stout dog and smart as a whip and a heart of gold.
Huck is different and leads the pack, I actually have to watch him around my parents when I go to visit..not because he is aggressive, it mainly because he won’t allow anyone around my bags/truck. If you try to pick up one of my bags or enter my truck, it’s on like donkey Kong.

No, the 2nd dumbest is the guy spelling the word dumbest wrong. I'll happily take 3rd place.

Decided to take my own advice and install security lights over my garage. Was not looking forward to crawling through the attic to fish a new 120V line and junction box, in August.

Then I noticed that a solar light can be had for anywhere between 15 and 30 bucks. Thanks again, Bezos.

lol appreciate the offer but I must disagree. Spelling errors on TW aren’t worthy enough for 2nd. Telling a guy whose just had his truck broken into to “pin a note on your shirt” is definitely asshat territory and far more worthy of 2nd place. :D

Calling someone the dumbest while spelling the word dumbest wrong? Not worthy? You're kidding right? That's a classic!!!
Also, correction, they didn't 'break into' his truck. The doors were unlocked.

Could OP have been followed from ATM?

I keep my dog always hungry. I never did get that bone from her.

I personally find that unlikely as most people don't leave their cash unsecured and visible in the driveway.

But stranger things have happened. Years ago I had a neighbor that worked in far east Houston, we lived northwest of Houston. He drove a flatbed F250 with a welder's rig. It got yanked out of his driveway on a Friday morning. By that Monday it was found in East Houston, just two blocks from his work, striped to the frame. That one was safely assumed that he was followed home.

Everyone says get a dog..."be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".
