I am planning on making a couple basic cross bars to mount my mountain bike on.

This what mine ended up looking like not too bad considering it was my first welding project. Looks were eh but sturdy as hell and it was easy to make. I like how it was parallel to the roof rack cross bars and I could take it on and off myself, if I were to make it again defenitly would tweak the design a lot of bit. Lol

It was originally for the tacoma but never got made for it.
Made a little jig of wood as the bed rails so I didn’t have to weld much on the actual truck.

Everybody should buy a welder and learn to weld, my little $500 hobart has paid for itself numerous times over.
About $300 spent on the rack. The stuff hanging off it costs more than the rack now..

I'll be getting my welding license eventually. Pays to have with my work. Just opens up the possiblity for better jobs to get on.

I'm trying to locate those aluminum clamps and not having any luck. I've Googled and even emailed Summit Racing. Any chance gator2764 you have a part number or know the part name I could use to search for?

    Thanks!
