Surfside Green would be cool. Mystic Purple is another 98-99 rare one. What was the truck from factory?

it was originally white, then later rattle can black and probably without any surface prep because it flakes off in places and the white is still shiny underneath.

Morning to you as well. I have too many projects and kept pushing it back, it was past time to get going on it again.

Started working on Project 97 again, ran into an intermittent starting problem. Have power at the ignition and all dash and accessories work but it will not start and makes no clicking noise. After some investigating and questioning other TW members ( @Bigdaddy4760 @Kanyon71 @Beretta4x4 @MattCowsmasher ) I took some advice moderately tapped the starter with a small hammer and walla.... it started up. After a few starts and stops the problem raised itself again and once again a few taps with the hammer got it starting. As a result I have ordered a new starter. Went with the cold package version (it has a higher torque output for cold morning starts). Starter should be in this Friday so hopefully I'll get it in before the weather gets nasty. Expecting temps in the teens and snow/ice over the weekend.

Well now that TX has thawed out for a day or two, I was finally able to get the new starter put into the Tacoma. Worked like a champ, kicks over with every bump of the key. also found a few loose bolts under there and tightened them dudes up. Have noticed it's got a rough idle and sounds like it's gonna die on ya (but doesn't). Hoping that is just a byproduct of old gas. It's pretty much been sitting since October and hasn't had new fuel since August.

When disconnecting the battery on my 99 it idles low/rough for about 150 miles until the computer steps in and adjusts. My 04 doesn't do it nearly as bad though because the throttle body isn't worn or dirty.

I am planning on it, got registered and such. Just need to get the days off. Also helps that on the 25th (Thurs) my office starts working 4/10's and I'll have F-S-S off as my normal schedule.

Nope, looks about like when I got it. Want to get it on some real trails to see if I have any clearance issues before putting uncut fenders back on. Plus Jambo can be hard on body panels if you do any of the harder trails (which I plan on attempting if all holds well).
I do have new doors, fenders , grille and marker lights ready to go on though.

Mines been sitting since late July with a can of seafoam. I’ll be doing that as well probably.

Yeah wish I had thought of that back in August. I put it in my boat, just didn't think the Yota was gonna sit this long.
