Gotcha. That wasn’t exactly clear from your original post. I wasn’t trying to be a dick, just providing a response to promote conversation. I’ll leave this up to you and other kayakers—I don’t carry them.

Edit: did a quick search and found this: https://forums.paddling.com/t/kayak-carrier-for-t-slot-aerobars/71714

Hopefully that helps or provides some inspiration.

As long as you can figure out how to make it work with the T-slot system, the world is yours…..

Just got a shipping notification on my Bravo Double Cab rack after 7 weeks of waiting. Pretty excited since initial lead time was 12 weeks.

Any tricks for getting these rack to roof fasteners in besides tapping it like the manual says? I got a tap set ready, just wanted to see if anyone had tricks to getting them threaded? All my driver side bolts are in, but I can't get 3 of the passenger bolts threaded all the way.

If you can’t get them in with hand power you really got to use the tap to open up the threads from the gunk in them from the factory. Just make sure to be very careful with the tap if it gives you any resistance just back the tap out and thread it again

Got it. just found it odd that driver side didn't give me any problem, but passenger side is so bad. Thought maybe I'm missing something. Well, hopefully I can get it as squared away as I can and not mess up the existing thread.

I had no issues with my passenger and driver rear but the fronts were a huge pain in the ass even with the tap. So just go slow and carefully with the tap. You will be good as long as you don’t rush or try to force the tap.

I purchased the bravo rack. Very happy with it aside from my stupid shark fin but that’s not a fault of the rack. Nothing needed tapping and went together easily.

side note, does anyone have experience going through a touch free car wash with them?

I personally would not trust an automatic car wash with a roof rack.

Has anyone covered the slots on their roof rack? We have been getting a ton of rain here and the channels have been filling up with water, which isnt a big deal but thought I could do something about it.

I was thinking something along the lines of this.

Received my retrax truss rack a few weeks back. Total lead time about 9 weeks with shipping. Retrax cover came in this week and got it installed. Very happy with the set up so far. Waiting on a RTT to be shipped.

I was worried about the racks security since it looked to be easily removed, but it’s quite a pain in the a** to install so I’m not worried anymore. Maybe I’ll see if I can fab a plate to cover the openings. 1DBCDA38-664F-4FBA-8416-56E33017156D.jpg

It's been bugging me for probably 3 weeks, the link for the tent riser mounting kit links to the incorrect page and Instead takes you to the universal rack page. Unless that's intended?

Edit: Suddenly it takes me to the actual page. Either the fastest edit or FBI man is messing with me
