I installed these. They came Wednesday and it finally cooled down enough to work in the driveway. This was a job that would have been easier on a lift, but wasn't too bad as it was.

Good set of instructions and the Left and Right side bars and hardware were in color coded bags. The fiddly bit was getting the bracket bolts to start into the weld bolts in the body. Some of the angles were off. I found that using a 1/4 drive 12mm socket and a screw driver handle made it much easier to line things up then trying to use my fingers. I got the brackets in "finger tight" and then attached the bars to the brackets. Again, using the 1/4 drive socket/handle combination made it much easier to deal with the angles.

I lined everything up tightened the bolts down and checked them with my torque wrench.

I did the passenger side first and had no real problems.

On to the driver side. Since I knew what to look for this went more quickly.

    Until.

You know that there's always one. Eleven bracket bolts went in easily, but the twelfth was the one. The plastic plug didn't want to come out, so I had to pry it out. Then I noticed a bit of rust. Shouldn't be a problem. Shouldn't but was. No matter what I did, the bolt would not start in. I had put the bracket on loosely with the other bolt, but ended up taking it off to check the other hole. I used a bolt to chase the threads, but it still didn't work. After about 20 minutes of this I discovered that angle of this back bracket was a bit different than the right back bracket. Or at least the bolt hole was. After that, it was easy. Same thing as the other side. Attach the rail, snug up the bolts, check with the torque wrench

Then recheck both sides with the torque wrench and I was done.

Got some new plates for my truck, no pictures on the truck, but I got the "parks and trails" plates. They get me free into any of MN state parks, plus they look way cooler than the normal license plates.

Nice. If I wasn't getting personalized plates, I would be getting the Stat Park plates. regular old sticker for me!

I was going to get personalized, but the wife didnt like what I wanted to get "PMKNSPC". My truck is inferno, so it looks like pumpkin spice. Parks plates are one of the better looking ones out there too.

Is the park open yet? We were there last year and it was closed for the plague.
