Oh shoot... I didn't even realize that was your rig. I would have at least said hello. I was only there for 5 minutes to pick up a key that got left behind. They "accidentally" kept the spare key to my wife's (old) Highlander after our failed attempt to purchase a (new) Highlander the prior evening. Side note - we ended buying a new Highlander today at Gosch Toyota in Hemet instead.

Your rig looks great. I happen to have my RTT mounted at the moment, too, so I was extra excited to park next to you Is that a CBI front bumper?

 

Haha. I think I might have caught a quick detail of you guys trying to purchase a highlander and none in stock.

Yea I had the dealer take care of some service and had left it parked there because I wasn’t able to pick the truck up before 5. The salesman who sold me the truck said he would drive it home for me but I said no thanks haha yea it’s a CBI T3 front bumper.

 

We actually tried to purchase the Highlander on Thursday evening. They just forgot to give me the key back after doing an appraisal on the wife's 2019 Highlander that we were trading in.

The one we were trying to buy from them was still inbound at the time (it actually arrived this morning). They swore that we had a deal and asked us to come down on Thursday night to start some paperwork. But when we got there, they wouldn't budge on the $4,000 worth of crap they were adding on to the transaction, which I had already told them I wasn't buying. After about an hour wasting time back and forth with one particular sales manager, we ended up walking. Had to go back Friday evening to pick up the key, because they "forgot" to give it back to me on Thursday evening.

They called me back this morning and came way down on their price, but I was already talking to Gosch and ended up working out an even better deal on a different Highlander that met our needs better anyway. Once the sales manager at Temecula found out that I had a deal in place with Gosch, he completely changed his entire demeanor and said he would do whatever he needed to get our business. Dealer swap for a better model, give us more money for our trade-in, reduce the price of the new Highlander (and stop trying to force me to spend $4,000 on their "add-ons"), etc. Ironically, it was all of the things that he said he couldn't do on Thursday night. Funny how that works.

 

i'd take the pink Tacoma over this abortion.
