Everything was working fine until I tried programming my new car’s in-house garage door opener.

The last time I lubed was spring time.

The springs are less than 18 months old.

I blame my garage door issues on my new car.

Did this just start? The door hasn’t done this before?

When it stops, how many times does the light flash? (I seen it flash at least once in the video.
Usually it will correlate to a code in the user manual.

    How many times?

Count the blinks, then look in the user manual.
If you don’t have one, get the model number and download one.

I had a similar issue going down, it was a shorted safety sensor wire.
It rubbed through the wire sheathing and was shorting the sensor.

Pull the cord and disconnect the motor from the door. Manually roll the door up and down. Check for binding, loose hinges, bad roller. Also run the motor independently from the door Check for binding.

If all you have done is just reprogram it then it's something to do with that obviously.

I was going to suggest that the rails on the side of the garage door should have a slight slant to them to assist with easier open.
