So, if Matty D is/was leading, you wouldn't want him to play the game and block? Thats just part of the superspeedway shit package.

Hendrick Motorsports is going to win it. The Champion will either be Kyle Larson or Chase Elliott.

In that case, I will go with Kyle Larson.

1- he tried that strategy and failed at Talladega.
2- block when there is room to block... not shove someone into a wall. I heard his team communications... spotter even said 21 was there.
3-had it been the last lap... ok... might get a pass... there was 3 to go... patience is a virtue. Matt had it all night just to get shoved into a wall at his opportunity.
4- Joey Logano didn't even pull a Joey Logano during that race... Chase did. That was lack of discipline... plain and simple.

I didn't say chase did no wrong, Matty was definitely there, but it happens to the best of them. Until nascar and their wizard package designers figures out how to separate them at Daytona and talladega, someone will continue to get their feelings hurt.

The playoff tracks do not favor Larson. They do favor Elliott, Logano, Hamlin, Harvick, Truex, and, if he can get the monkey off his back, Blaney.

I gotta go with my guy Blaney. He’s got that Penske momentum right now. He has good tracks in each round: Bristol, Vegas, Dega, Kansas.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I think calling Penskes recent success momentum is a little premature. More like right place right time. Overall everywhere other than super speedways Ford will remain exposed this season.

Fair point. Ford has been lackluster this season. I say “Penske momentum” as I’m thinking back to Brad’s late Summer 2012 surge that carried him into the playoffs.

Wild to see Toyota only has 6 wins this season with the last one being Kyle Busch at Pocono.

Darlington! They must be having trouble selling tickets to the non-throwback race because I keep getting emails and phone calls from the ticket office. I attended the Spring throwback event and it was a real treat to see classic #8, 9, and 21 cars rolling around the track by Dale Earnhardt Jr, Bill Elliott, and Leonard Wood. The races did not disappoint, either. I really thought Larson was going to catch Truex in the waning laps. I bet he pulls it off this time. The numbers are in his favor however, Chevrolet hasn't won at Darlington since Harvick in 2014. Darlington is one of the best opportunities for Harvick or Hamlin to finally notch their first victories of the season and gain passage to round 2 of the playoffs.

I thought... it was gonna be a throwback race as well. Matty D supposed to run Elliott Sadler 21 circa 2001.
