    3” spacer lift
Hi all, first off I want to say I’m happy being a tacoma owner many of trouble free miles so far which leads me to my issue, I’ve installed a 3 inch lift the previous weekend. It was a spacer lift by supreme suspensions I understand now after the fact these aren’t the best. So far I have had no alignment done, and the stock tire sizes are still on at this time. I am feeling a slight vibration through the driver side floor board, I do have a carrier bearing drop installed plus differential drops installed. I have seen on here that it’s possible it is a needle roller bearing that should be replaced with a bushing. My question is is why would it make this half rotational (seemingly) vibration at speeds 30-55mph but not at high interstate speeds. I installed this lift in northern alabama at my dads and drove back to mobile al where I live. Have I cause more damage to this bearing in the diff? I drove around downtown mobile yesterday and didn’t have it this vibration seems to be when it’s first driven after awhile or randomly. Good news is I drive a company van to work and home everyday so it sits except once a week, any input or ideas if this is indeed the needle bearing would be appreciated. Also to note I lifted this truck to get around while hunting and needed more clearance. Nothing serious or major off-roading. Currently this tacoma has 135k and had 60k when I bought it.

Does the vibration go away when in 4wd?
If so... you need the ecgs bearing to replace the stock needle bearing.

I have tried it in 4 wheel drive and haven’t noticed it.. but also by the time I switch to 4wd the vibe was gone in 2wd.. it’s odd that it happened between certain miles per hour but not at higher speeds as in 60 mph plus. It’s also random when it wants to vibe like it does it’s never consistent.

Drop it down to 2 inches and you avoid a lot of potential issues.

You can't lower a fixed spacer

Honestly if I can’t get it figured out and fixed I’m thinking about taking the lift back off it’s just sad because the new stance looks to great.

Still doesn’t explain why I got that vibe immediately after installation last Saturday night. It should’ve been vibrating before the lift as well if it was worn. I would understand if it was vibrating the way it does now before, I’m just confused on the matter. Cv axles are fine, they don’t pop or anything in 2wd or 4wd. There is no play in them I have checked.

Probably the best move. Countless posts about people screwing their trucks up pretty good when lifting more than a couple inches.

I just don’t get how a buddy of mine can lift his same height and same year model and not have issues. His tacoma also has more miles than mine and he has had zero issues whatsoever I even drove his to see if I felt the same issue but I don’t

It typically happens right after you lift it...
But that thread covers all front end diff and CV axle vibrations. Spend some time and read, don't just assume.

No two trucks are alike really.... it's unfortunate, but the way it is on these things.
