It’s like replacing the insert on your tailgate with a giant cutting board. It’s a flat surface instead of the corrugated stock one. They’re nice if you do a lot of camping.

on a side note they’re super slick in the winter be careful.

That and it’s flat so when you’re putting your camp stove/burner/cups/condiments/etc they don’t fall over or teeter. Like they they do on the stock one.

Also a quick wipe down and you can use it for food prep.

For all of those asking about shipping - These are $249 on the Mountain Hatch website, and they ship for free (at least to my address, per their website). For those of us that don't have commercial shipping accounts, it will cost $35 to $40 to ship something this size across the country. So by the time the seller puts the effort and time into packing it up and going to the post office to ship it off (and probably doesn't have easy access to cardboard, packing tape, etc.), the buyer won't even net any real savings vs. just buying a new one directly from Mountain Hatch. So the seller either needs to eat another $30 to $40 from his selling price, or the buyer is going to receive a used product for the price of a new one. Either way, it's not an ideal situation for one of the parties. For an item like this, a local buyer just makes the most sense.

That said, I wish you were in So Cal. I'd buy it in a second. :) GLWS!

Was willing to give the seller price of a new one for used product. But you've changed my view. Going to just get it from Mountain Hatch website now. Thanks!

I concur about shipping costs. The only way to ship economically is to have a business account.
