I'm the weirdo that buys the loaded Lariat SuperCab too. My truck has to be the lowest volume trim/cab combination Ford makes.

Dumb ass dog got into it again with a black and white stinky cat. For those keeping score at home, its Skunk 2 Dumb Dog 0. I did find out the little stinker is living under my shed though so its eviction time. I have the base of the shed blocked off but he found a loose bit that he uses to get in. I don`t really know how to get rid of the skunk, don`t want to get him in a have a heart trap, too residential for the lead pill treatment, so i think my plan is going to be to make it uncomfortable for him, force him out them board it up tight. Thinking pepper spray for a few nights in a row under the shed so hopefully he vacates. Anyone have experience with this and have any tips or tricks? Will pepper spray work?

Put a small hole in the floor and pour ammonia down it. He’ll find a new home fast. If your not concerned of a dead skunk stench for a while pour bleach right after and get out of there without breathing in the gas…

Might try ammonia next. I`m trying not to kill him under there, they`re not bad, my dog is just an idiot. I dosed the entrance with peppermint spray tonight, i read that may do the trick on its own. They actually seem fairly simple to evict, lots of scents they don`t like and they will pack up and get out of dodge.

Never had the issue with my husky. I don't remember the count for how many times she got sprayed but I always called it a tie - because the skunk didn't survive the encounter either.

Great with children. Horrible with small rodents.

Now I have a catahoula who squared off with a swan and a 100lb mastiff and won both of those and then countless other chases but far less carnage.

Thanks guys! It was a dreary day up here but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Watched a couple of movies with my wife, hung out and just took it easy.

Might have to get those for more of a long term plan. I think the pepper spray or the peppermint crap I put out last night will evict him. I'll throw some under there to keep him out and also board it up tight.
I think you're correct, but I really don't want to trap a skunk.

for chickens, small diameter wire fence 6-12 inches underneath and out the same distance will stop most digging animals.

I thought I had it boarded solid. On 2 sides, the 2x12 that supports the floor is almost completely buried. The other 2 sides, one has a concrete pad so that blocks off access and the last side I buried cinder blocks but apparently I left a gap at the corner. I thought the supporting leg behind the cinder block would stop anything from getting in but there's more room back there than I thought. I'm going to board it up solid with 5/4 deck boards and bury the bottom board (I have some left over deck board on hand, I don't have any chicken wire so I'm just using what's already in the lumber yard). I do like the idea of putting the chicken wire out from the face though, that's a neat trick...
