OE Genuine is the one that is in there now I think that people are having problems with. A Delphi motor

The other two are too cheap to last, my unproven opinion and the Continental, the one Autozone sells, is the one I'm interested in. It looks like it actually has bearings but don't know for sure.

I had a TYC. it started to get fairly noisy after about 1 year of use. I'm trying out an Autozone fan next week. With the warranty at least it's the last one I ever have to buy!

Chris4X4, maybe this would be a good candidate for a sticky since so many have this problem. Clean it up by putting the important stuff in the beginning. Just saying IMHO etc. Thanks.

Did you get to tell them to go pound sand? I would think dealers would try something like

"We replaced the blower motor, under warranty. However, we have to charge you for drilling out the screws that were broke off. You should have just brought it to us to begin with."

I hope it wasn't or isn't like that, Good Luck

Yes but their TSB offers only a temporary solution. I may call Monday and see if I can get a case opened.

Good luck with that....Toyota has no say in what a subsidiery supplier wants to do with their parts. At this point d oyou really think Delphi (GM) cares that Toyota has a bunch of people who have issues with their blower motor fans. If Toyota wants a better part, they need to design a replacement and not rely on another company to do so.

I was supposed to have mine replaced at the dealer on the 13th but the blower never came in, they said it was backordered. Mine is making so much noise I can hardly hear the radio. Why is Toyota putting GM parts on their vehicles????

I had mine replaced once about 2 months ago and it recently started making the noises again.
Dealer told me they wont be replacing the entire motor this time. Said Toyota has finally developed a part for fixing the problem. not just replacing with the same motor.
Let you know what I find out.

Might be a stupid question, but what about using powered graphite to grease the bearings instead of grease?:confused:
