Praying for all involved. We're up in Baton Rouge, but I'm very worried about my in-laws. They decided to ride it out in Jean Lafitte...

Tell them to seal off their house. Start putting sandbags up and put furniture in front of the windows to stop projectiles from coming through as easily. Hopefully nothing happens to them but they need to be prepared for what happened to Mexico Beach in 2018.

The federal government is already expecting this storm to exhaust state, national guard, and federal rescue/response resources and has sent in requests for active duty military forces to aid in the response. This is a bad storm hitting a bad spot.

    I'll be praying

Good luck & have faith. It may not be as bad as your think it will be.
We stayed at home in Houma. Plenty of rain and some wind. The worst has not come our way yet.

Fine. They bailed out the morning of the storm and moved up to Marrero. One Uncle in-law unaccounted for as of yet, but everyone else is safe.

Uncle-in-law has showed up. He's fine. All family is safe. Now they're just waiting for the okay to head back to Lafitte and check on their house.

Made it thru in Metairie. A little tree damage, most every other roof lost some shingles. That wind lasted a long time.

Some big trees were down within a few blocks. Part of the reason for low water pressure right now. And that's parish wide.
