I'm not normally a jack drinker but they always come in gift baskets and whatnot so they end up in our camping gear :drunk:

I’ve never found an American whiskey I like. They all taste like they were aged in kerosene lamps. Canadians know how to make that stuff.

If you consider a bourbon whiskey to be a whiskey then I would have recommendations on American makers to try otherwise I would agree with you. Canadian or Irish whiskey...mmm good stuff:D

My sister works for the Herman Marshall distillery in Dallas and sends me samples. She’s trying to convince me it’s better than Canadian. It’s better than most American I’ll admit.

From what we’re hearing the worst of the flooding is in areas pretty far away from us. Our main concern is wind damage. One of kids neighbors lost their entire roof. Their neighborhood is only two miles from us.
Power is expected to be out for at least a week or two so planning to wait it out here.

I haven't tried any of the Jack Daniel's products, but I do quite like Rye. Templeton so far is my favorite.

My first ever experience with any hard liquor was with Seagrams 7 & 7 Up, back in my sophomore year in high school. I drank a huge amount, ,granted.... I spent the next 12 straight hours heaving my guts out. To this day, 40 years later, if I smell that stuff.....:puke: I had one of those "I'll never drink again" conversations in my head. It was about 17 or 18 years later that I tried any sort of liquor again. Someone introduced me to Margaritas, and I realized that not all liquor smells and tastes like rocket fuel. And over the last 10 years or so, I have been cultivating a taste for Scotch. :militarypress:
