I just used a pressure washer. Not sure if that's the best way, but it worked for me.

Anyone have any suggestions or has anyone added "spacers" or something of the sort to extend the rails of the ST on the truck bed rails?

Was just thinking my soft topper would look much better if the edge of the canvas was as close to the outside of the truck bed rail as possible.

    If that makes sense lol

You'd have to use different style bed mounts. The aluminum will flex. But, long term not sure how'd it work out.

Holy hell they jacked up their prices like crazy. I remember I bought one for about 750 shipped to my house...now they want 930. On top of it they won't answer their phone or emails.

I would also like to do this but like was said we'd need different mounts. Also my rails are twisting inward. Don't know if I have the will to deal with it right now.

Yeah I was thinking about buying some different clamps, something that has a little bit bigger space in the top of the "C" so I can extend them a bit further.

    This and that...
Quick question, can the 2nd Gen version work on the 3rd gen? Selling mine. Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind. Figured it out.

It's recent. They were good when they were their own company. Probably made in China now as well

Just have to adjust the clamps. loosen get the rails flat and tighten by hand making sure the clamp stays true to keep em level. It’s the clamp that pulls em sideways.
move had to do it several times as the fabric stretched over time.

Still made in CO. It’s the aluminum that’s the hood up.

So you don't need to tighten the clamps until it's nice and tight?

You do, but dont full send with a drill or go ham with a ratchet. On mine, if you just go ham it pulls the clamps kinda crooked, which since its got a square hold down for the rails, pulls them crooked.
Its a PITA to adjust and get perfect, but once you do it; its all good.

Just ordered my first soft topper. Now the wait. Quick question for those that have them. Any certain ways you should not ride on the highway with them? Like sides rolled up safari mode? Also, any issues with having it on with the tailgate down going 70? I have my little duck boats back there with the tailgate down all the time. Hoping I don’t have to take it off and on when I use them.

You should be fine to roll the sides up and go fast but don't leave the rear panel down when you do that unless you want it to act like a parachute. If you travel with the tailgate down I'd leave all the sides of the topper down as well (except the rear if required).

How much does the soft topper stick out from front of the bed when rolled up? 72” bed if possible.

I would bet they aren't installed quite right. The clamps actually kind of snap in to a depression on the bed rail and if you don't get them in correctly you can still tighten them, but they are at an angle that way and are more prone to loosening.
