So is the front open? Maybe temp install a board across the front and see if you can pull it out that way? If im visualizing it right

 

Ya if you can imagine the drawer front just being gone. Im used to traditional drawer 'boxes' with a false front face. Right now there is a particle board drawer bottom and each of the metal sides which are flush with frameless cabinet.

I could get a piece of scrap and drill it into the particle board bottom to act as a handle but I'm worried about the chipboard just blowing out.

Worst case I guess I'll CA glue the drawer front on and the new owners will think it's just a fake drawer. Not ideal but it'll do I guess.

 

Could mount a faux handle 3" square to drawer bottom then try to pull drawer out. Then just fill the holes

 

Any access from the sides? Maybe a crowbar from underneath between the back of the drawer and back of the cabinet?

 

Take a quick clamp, pull the end off and attach it to the rear and then open it till it bite both sides and use it as a handle.

 

Welp, long story short, can't use the laminate, floor to uneven. Vinyl would work, but not ideal, would still see uneven/warp. Had to haul out 84 cases of laminate and additional materials. Not fun. Disappointed/pissed. Back to carpet and sheet Vinyl...

 

What about an underlayment or leveling compound of some kind? I'm sure this type of problem comes up quite a bit with flooring contractors. Maybe reach out to someone local for help? There ought to be a work around.

 

Manufactured home. Particleboard subfloor. That's really the problem. There were work arounds, mostly resulting in voiding of any warranties. The only guarantee I got was that I'd have problems later. The only proper solution would be to pull the particle and replace with ply and that's just too cost prohibitive. Vinyl has come a long ways, and I have a bunch of cool vintage Persian/Turkish rugs so I don't have to go too expensive on the carpet. First world problems....

 

That was the deal in the last apartment I was in. They laid down brand new vinyl floors that sat noticeably uneven in spots. Oh well, not mine, and WAY better than the nasty carpets/linoleum that was in there before.

 

Ya I think this is going to be the best/quickest solution

There's about 1/4-3/8" under the drawer so I'll try that too.

Great idea! I'll give'r a shot as well. I had thought about that for a second but figured the outward pressure would just further jam the slides but hey what do I have to lose really?

It sounds like the wheels fell off the slide at the back. If you can lift the back of the drawer up you might get it out. Is there any drawers above or below? I had the same problem with those cheap slides. Good luck

 

ya you're probably right. By the time I got home last night the kids were asleep so I didn't want to make a bunch of racket beating on it to get it out. There is a drawer underneath that I've taken out. I'll give that a shot tonight too.

Used up my last portable propane tank and finally hooked up to the 500 gallon house tank. Very nice. Used good gas pipe jornt compound (not a Teflon tape fan), sprayed it down with HD Metal Protector. No leaky. Grill gets nice and hot!

I"m glad I've got a natural gas hookup for my BBQ. It's so much more convenient that swapping tanks.

 

Is that fiber cement or wood composite siding?

 

Fiber cement. I love the water resistance. Better than cedar. Hate the brittleness.

I bought my first new house last year and had to do many things to it. In the past, have remodelled all of previous homes and was in hopes to NOT have to do anything to this new home. WRONGO ... lol

Builder's subs had to remove and reinstall some brick work and has some other issues to fix.

On problems like this one ... I don't want the builder's subs involved.

Below are a few pics on the last project to fix old 1 1/4' conduit and install a larger additional 2" conduit.



...^^^... The conduit for the TV cable behind the fireplace had a nail in it and caulking ... had to cut out the wall to get to the problem. The orange conduit is the old conduit that was blocked.





...^^^... Installed an additional 2" black conduit for extra cables.




...^^^... In the wall cutout found plastic water bottles & etc. on the fireplace box. We did not use the fireplace yet and I am not sure if the bottles would have melted when the fireplace was used.? <---- Anybody know that answer <-- melted plastic bottle or a fire hazard when fireplace used ?





...^^^... Finished TV wall mount (still needs some more trim paint) .... added a 7 ply 3/4" A/C sanded Plywood section to the wall (anchored to the studs) to have flexibility to screw any TV bracket to the wall almost anywhere. Put in 120VAC 14 ga extension cord (attached to filtered, surge suppressor in left cabinet), added cat 8 cable, added 3 HDMI 2.1 4K cables ... would not have gotten all the cables in the smaller conduit. The top left outlet box is old fixed conduit and top right AC outlet is NOT filtered or surge suppressed



...^^^... Conduit outlet in bottom left cabinet. The wiring still needs a little routing work.



...^^^... TV has been mounted and trim needs to be repainted.
