whether or not it's your exact struggle, the point is valid to consider at the very least. and damn that's a lot of sarcasm.

Truth is i've learned my lesson long ago when buying a 1-2 year old vehicle from someone i knew nothing about. 9/10 times you'll get burn't....your buying someone else's problems. Like said if its too good to be true, there's usually a reason it was traded in.

    Random thoughts:

Have you ever actually driven a Detroit made vehicle from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s..? ‘Vibrations’ weren’t serious until you were going to the dentist…

Imagine a little Japanese car company trying to break into the US market. The little bit of experience they have is in forklifts, and Indy car type racing. Simple meets light, super high revving motors. If you want to spin at >10K rpms for a couple hundred laps, yo shit gotta be tight bro. (very close tolerances on materials, machining, assembly). This is Toyota, Honda, Datsun, Nissan circa 1970. Meanwhile, Detroit laughs and continues to believe ‘there’s no replacement for displacement’, so keeps on keeping on, but the market starts to shift and the consumer begins moving to the smaller, fuel efficient, less expensive, more reliable little Japanese cars.

1980’s - the K Car V. the Civic, nuff said.

1990’s - Japanese makers dominate the market share.

1990’s - today… Japan gets comfortable, more and more outsourcing (NAFTA), supply chains get longer, tolerances get looser, oversight becomes harder, more effort is spent on trying to ‘trick’ existing customers with gadgets and maintain the ‘brand’…

Japanese cars have come just about to the place of Detroit in the 1970’s, only on a global scale.

The next good, inexpensive, efficient, reliable truck will come from India.

While there is logic to your assertion, and I wouldn’t question your personal experience, it is possible to doubt the absolute certainty of your statements.

Give the OP a break. Besides, folks often get rid of cars for reasons other than mechanical.

It's pretty funny that now people are blaming the OP because he bought a used 2021 Tacoma with 5k on it. If he had just bought new he would have been in Tacoma heaven.

Sure people dump new vehicles all the time for being lemons, but they also dump for a lot of other reasons.

I knew a guy once who came home from work early to find his wife in bed with some other guy. The couple divorced and wound up selling cars and a home, among other things.

OP contact one our KDMAX tuners and let me know who you contact i will make sure they get you tuned let you test drive to see if the tune cures your issue's. If it does not you don't pay and he will flash you back to stock. At this point you have nothing left to lose and everything to gain its only $350! If the KDMAX tune cures your issue's your going to be extremely happy with your truck!

Exactly what i was told by my cousin years ago a now retired gm engineer that worked during those days. When we discussed bearings, he told me the japanese would never except bearing tolerances that gm used in their vehicles.....it'd all be in the scrap barrel.

I have bought 3 vehicles all under 1 year old and under 6k miles. 1996 Passat GLX VR6 Manual, my current BMW wagon and Tacoma. My Tacoma was 6 months old and had 2500 mile on it. 11 years later it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Maybe I'm the lucky one but I'm sure my truck was available because of the 4 cylinder and manual tranny. If you don't like the truck or think you got a bad one get rid of it and get something you like. Hate that you are in the situation with buyers remorse but life is too short to live with a car you don't like. Best of luck.

Sorry, i tried to choose the correct words, and spelling, but if i don't catch some quick enough this computer will change the words meaning something else that can appear with a similar amount of letters. Tried everything to correct this problem, but still no deal.

Funny I knew a guy who at the time back in the 80's bought a new/used Corvette for $1000.he was in the right place at the right time walking his dog. Some woman met him on the street and asked if he wanted it for that price, it was her husband's prized possession and she had just caught her husband with another woman, signed the title took the check. Done deal.
