How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

I seriously doubt you have anything to worry about. Now if they repeatedly cannot get ahold of you and have heard nothing from you, I'm sure there is a point. What that time frame is is beyond me.

That said, I'd call and get a manager on the line and just tell them you're going to be out of contact for these dates.

 

Yeah I could have ordered one closer but nothing was approved for allocation so it was too much a gamble. This was a dealer that all ready had it in transit and not reserved yet. Thats why I have to get it 200 miles away.

 

I asked the dealer this too and he said i have nothing to worry about. the truck is under my name because i put in a 1k deposit. im going on a trip too for a week and im not too worried. more frustrated than anything.. i ordered a 2021 OR in july. ETA was aug, now its mid sept.

 

I left a $1K deposit in July. Now, the frivolous "Market Adjustment" to MSRP has started; up to $3000. Having said that, an agreement is an agreement, yet it seems the dealer-ripe with negotiating leverage-can ignore it if they choose.

 

I waited three months, I went through Costco they connected me to a dealer. So I got a pretty good deal if I went to a different dealer they had it in a few weeks and I’m in Norcal. But I would’ve paid about $3000 more

 

That's cool because up here in Oregon and washington the tacoma is exempt from the costco program

 

Any thoughts on why suddenly the advanced tech package cannot be added on toyota.com's "build and price" feature?

 

My guess is that they can't get the chips needed for that option. Only a guess.

This is a permanent vin. You need to call your dealer and ask if they have any updates via dealer daily. Tell them you want a screen shot showing the expected arrival date. It shows all of that. They are the only ones who have access to this and that is specifically what they use to track the status.

Try changing the zip code. As vehicles are already being slated to be built way in advance that configuration may have quite a bit out there already and they aren’t offering that package in that region due to influx of builds. Hence why these aren’t custom orders. Changing the zip code may allow you to show what different configurations each area can get. In Texas the accessories are limited but if you change it to California there are endless accessories. Same goes with build. When they took the option to build a Pro off the website in June you could still build it in a different region. It came back online late July and still up and running.

 

That’s unfortunate I don’t understand why it’s different.. ‍♂️

Just got an email from my credit union saying they’d extended my rate till Sept 17th. After that I’d be subject to the new rates if they change. Estimated truck delivery is mid Sept With that said, has anyone here financed with Toyota credit for 84mons? If so, what rate did you get?

 

Yeah, sales guy told me they aren't building those right now.
They attempted to change the allocation I had to include that and Toyota said nope!

 

Currently it's at 2.49%. Friends/family rate is 2.99%, if you can sweet talk your way into it.

 

Mine was already allocated to the dealer, not sure when though, and it was still open for purchase late July. It was built around that time as well.
