Is a conversion harness needed if I have a TRD Sport with the LED DRLs and halogen headlamps/turn signal?

I struggled with the pro vs non pro decision. I went pro. I don’t regret it. Nobody has called me a poser to my face but if they do I will agree with them. I would have preferred double TRD but I don’t really look at the pro and feel bad. If they were different prices it might have changed things.

Either way, they are so much better than halogen that you will for sure be stoked with either. It’s a can’t lose sort of thing.

Do you really think anybody else gives two shits about whether your lights say Pro on them or not. No one will ever notice or ever comment and if they do, they've got way more time on their hands than anyone needs. They're both functionally identical so put on which ever one you like better. In this case thankfully, form does follow function in either case. Here's the snapshot I took of one of mine while I waited on the harness. Really quite a beautiful piece. TacomaLED_v3.jpg

As for the 1" chrome strip, eh, you can't really see it with the shine of the lens.

I'm curious about the difference in output on the cornering light sections between the two models. I need to do an experiment at night to see how much light the Off Road version cornering lights actually put out. Can't imagine it is much.

Need to turn DRL off on the head unit, and set lights to parking setting to isolate the cornering lights.

My 2020 Pro led (top) vs my buddies 2020 OR led.

The only differences are the chrome trim around the DRL on the non pro model and the obv TRD PRO on the Pro.

Output is pretty much the same but worlds better than oem halogen.

I’m definitely going to upgrade to these when I have a spare $1500 laying around but to the point of whether or not people will break your balls for having pro lights when you don’t have a pro; 9/10 of those people will be talking shit with a Pro grille installed on the front of their truck…so those hypocrites can straight go fuck themselves. Get what makes ya happy. LED headlights were literally the one thing I didn’t get with my truck so I want em bad and I don’t care what others say about “those didn’t come with your truck”.
