Ram and Dodge 1,2 in quality and Chrysler which is from the same Company dead last…makes a lot of sense

I worked at a dodge, ram, keep Chrysler dealer. They are all shit.

Also love how everyone raves over a Tesla but look where they stand.

I don't get too worked up about the 1st 90 days of ownership rankings. They're long term reliability rankings are a little more useful

For one thing this says "Initial Quality" not "Long Term" not "Reliability". Also "JD Power". Talk to me in 200k miles.

Truer words have never been spoken. As proof, I submit the continued existance of Harley Davidson.

Does anyone really care about that list??

FWIW, I did lease a 2019 RAM 1500 and after 3 years and 34k miles it was by far the nicest truck I’ve ever owned and had no issues other than a loose headliner after day 1 that was fixed day 2.

Must have rated on looks alone, cause if the Ram 1/2 still has a 5.7 Hemi it's a time bomb waiting to cost you $5700+ just to get the cam and lifters done cause of the piss-poor oiling design...

    Said from experience at 120k...

Followed immediately by rear end starting to howl...

LR door and RR door window reg's also snapped off internally.
Right rear door locks went down.
There's more, but I'm done thinking about it... lol

Followed start of howling dif within a week by me trading that POS in on my Taco.

    yeah... about that...

Clearly FCA or Stellantis or whatever they are called this week has been spending some coin to make sure that things don't break in the first 6 months. I wouldn't trust their long-term reliability through. I have owned two Chrysler products, a 2009 Grand Cherokee plagued by electrical gremlins when it was NEW! And a 2000 Cherokee Sport 4x4. I'd buy another XJ, but that's about the only Chrysler product I would buy again.

If one can't pass initial quality, they're going to have a hell of time making in to long term reliability. I don't care who makes it, if a vehicle is terrible from the start it's not going to age like wine.

As much as I hate Kia, Hyundai and Ram, this JD Power report just shows that Toyota is asleep across it's product lineup

You don’t get one of the hand-built ones then.

    Mine is bespoke.

    Lol.

I stopped reading the list posted when I saw the C8 Corvette. Anything with Dodge and GM in the list is suspect when referring to quality.

Hey, at least I got a lol.

I actually find the whole Tacoma-vs-Tacoma thing a reasonable metaphor for how humanity operates at large. Even when there is no major difference between folks, we’ll find one, and once we’ve defined that difference, we find an even finer detail to further separate people within each group. The 3G vs 2G debate is well established, as is Toyota vs every other car maker. I like to try to get the M.Y. Vs M.Y. thing going in case we run out of other things to champion.
